Damo = feedback
Rob = hollow
Ian sounds OK
been stood in front of a shelf of 500 DVDs trying to figure out what I want to watch for over an hour myself. I feel your pain.
Update: Audio sorted out after ten minutes _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

I like the banter, it's fun and breezy and not to heavy. Enjoy the news and the opinions, and pay attention to the months releases, when it comes to the series focus, I find that I drift away if I'm not actually interested in the show, which I find out after two or three minutes of the chat, and I will fast forward to the next bit. But you can't please all the people all the time, and the bit that I tune out of will appeal to someone else.
Also those series focuses are still a little drawn out and lengthy. I think a nice length of time for each show would be about 15 minutes. About 3 minutes to set up and sell the show and the remaining 10-12 to have the debate.
It's at that point of Plastic whatsit that I started to drift, and then I was skipping forward to find something that I might be interested in. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

Mine's a £5 headset mic from amazon so it's cheap n cheerful but does the job, frankly I got a dead cheep one cos I didn't think this podcast malarky would last this long, but hey. I'm also recording on a laptop that doesn't have the best sound quality either.
So the series chat would eb better formatted like the dirty dozen ones. I.E shorter. _________________ ...

I think you should do a bit on online anime. It's defintely moved on since last year's experiment, and is now a viable means to watch anime legally and for the price of a broadband connection.
The grey areas are vanishing quickly too, with Crunchyroll having got rid of most of the fansubs, and all of the user uploaded content. They now work with companies directly to bring anime to the masses.
It's true that something like 60% of online anime is region locked, but that still leaves close to a 100 titles that we can view in the UK.
Back catalogue titles from Funimation are on Youtube, and more significantly on Funimation's own site. You can watch old titles like Slayers, if you get impatient with Revelation you can see all the episodes of Peach Girl, Suzuka, School Rumble S1 and Mushi-shi. There are episodes of titles that Manga will be bringing to the UK this year, so you can have that all important try before you buy experience that the majority get with television. More significantly you can get to see series that have never been released in the UK, and probably never will at this point. Funimation have all of Galaxy Railways, Glass Fleet, up at this point.
Of course the back catalogue stuff pales into insignificance compared to the new stuff. We're finally getting shows at the same time as Japanese audiences, or close to, with Gonzo starting it with The Tower Of Druaga, Blassreiter, and now Linebarrels of Iron on Crunchyroll. Funimation are bringing Shikabane Hime to the West, while Crunchyroll have the big cheese of TV Tokyo behind them, and Western audiences can pay to see the latest Naruto and Gintama episodes at the same time as the Japanese, or wait a week and see them for free.
A quick tally...
About 11 titles on Youtube
another 11 on Joost UK
38 dubbed titles on Funimation (15 of them complete including apparently the Origin Spirits of the Past movie)
17 subbed titles on Funimation (about half of them complete)
Crunchyroll has about 35-40 titles that we can watch in the UK _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

TBH out of the three of us who record the podcast I'm probably into anime the most, and I don't watch any online, even legal, don't like sitting at my pc to watch stuff. _________________ ...

So I'm listening to it at the moment there was not that much feedback on my mic when recording, infact none.
Here's something listen to the intro and the news, and compare them, now I edited the news and my Plastic Little topic and Rob edited the rest of the program. my bits don't have the feedback on my mic. My mic records with some noise but it's constant and I do a basic blanket noise reduction on my track where robs uses some compressor filter instead that seems to be making it worse not better. _________________ ...

| Ok I did use some compression on your track but that was after I removed the buzz for it. but there was some left in you voice and I couldn't get rid of it completely not sour why that happened, we're using the same prog so there shouldn't be any difference I'll ask you what you did to your track later see if I did something different. |

Using the same program but using different methods that's why there's different results.
blanket noise reduction is allthat's need and if there's some left on teh track well then fine, I've heard a lot worse out there. _________________ ...
