This arrived today and the packaging is not what I expected.

The case contains 6 DVDs but is the same size as a normal single DVD box Shocked 2 in each side plus 2 on a hinged insert. I had to check they hadn't sent me a single by mistake but all was good.

It's in a very nice card slip case and is the same size as the GiTS:SAC singles.

Great idea as it saves loads of room on the shelf.

The only problem was that there is so little space in the case that the usual information request postcard has 2 holes pushed into it by the DVD spindles. Tight fit or what.

Minimal packaging is the way forward Cool

The Bandai US release of Clamp School Detectives is packaged in the same way. It's a good use of space and I approve of any other releases packaged in the same way, but it is a bit weird at first.

Less space a DVD takes up the more room for it on the shelf. I'm all for it, so long as the DVDs stay in place. Is this the UK or US version of the set?

UK - I have the set as well. Smile (actually I think it's the same US packaging with UK-shaped bits literally stuck on top)

The smaller the set is the better in my eyes, as long as it all fits.

Azumanga Daoih and Chrono Crusade both have pretty slim packaging. Trigun is still pretty fat, even though the individual DVD's are in thin cases.

The thirteen episode single releases will save a lot of space too. Very Happy Very Happy
