I've posted this on Anime UK News, and someone asked for similar on Amine on DVD, so I figured I'd post it here as well...

I was in Brum earlier today and I spotted volume one of Gundam 00 (both versions) in Forbidden Planet. I didn't buy either since they were full price and I had a cheaper preorder at play.com, but I did ask the staff there if they would let me take a picture of the artbox, and a picture of the innards, to which they happily obliged. Smile

The Artbox
It's a toploader, with the 'lid' being the top third of the box. If you've ever seen either of the US Ah! My Goddess boxes, it's like those, but the other way up.

The Innards
Sorry about the picture quality, there's no flash on my phone and the plastic caught the light. The keyring is a small flat image of Setsuna, the main character. The patch is just that, a circular patch with the "Celestial Being" logo on. The action figure is boxed, and judging from the size of the box it's height is similar to the diameter of a DVD. It's Exia Gundam, and while it isn't a Gundam kit, it is a nice extra.

The DVD box itself isn't a standard box, but neither is it similar to that of Gurren Laggan. From what I could tell, it's a hardboard box with a removable lid, with the DVDs probably on a plastic tray inside. The lid of the box appears to be the "front" of the DVD case, if it were a regular DVD box. Think of it as a box of chocolates, that's the sort of box I mean.

A final shout out to the great guys of Forbidden Planet Birmingham for letting me take the pics. They had some great DVD bargains in there if anyone's in Birmingham at any point in the future. Smile

The DVD box is weird, you'd expect a book in side it given the space allowed.
