Nice 'cast, three titles I was interested in, and good news items. Didn't skip once.
Shame that the first major piece about online streaming would be the Funimation debacle.
Personally I don't think it was the ****ing anime fans. I think it was the ****ing fansubbers. They spend all day comparing the sizes of their 'nads and seeing who could get an episode fansubbed the quickest. Then all of a sudden it's out their legally! Many people who do watch fansubs would rather watch the anime legally. It's just waiting a year to 18 months for a show to be licenced that gets tiring.
It looks like the fansubbers were going out of business (Dattebayo quit after Crunchyroll started streaming Naruto) and all of a sudden someone spots that Funimation have no security. Fansubber happy to rain on parade so that he can continue to provide his own 3-D animated multicolor fansubs which are so accurate to the original Japanese that they may as well be romanji.
Funimation seriously had no security, and were utterly naive though. It wasn't just One Piece. Two prior episodes of Phantom had also been pre-leaked. And anyone with Firefox and a common plug-in could rip their video files to their local hard drive.
Of course now it's the other way around. Looking at their forums, apparently it's a matter of luck if you can get an episode to start playing, and a miracle if it plays all the way through. Best security ever... The site doesn't work. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

That's good, I haven't listen to it myself yet after recording it so I'll be interested in seeing what edits Rob made, is the bit in where I mention watching Air still in? I've been listening to Freemasons' remix albums all day.

In my defence I was quoting a source who I think is even more cynical tham me.
Love your description of fansubbers BTW _________________ ...

To be fair, 99% of fan response on forums mirrored your sentiments in the 'cast. One solitary turd ruining it for everyone else. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

Finally got round to listening to one. Enjoyed it as the titles covered were ones I've seen and enjoyed.
Real Ghostbusters is great I got that DVD, Extreme Ghostbusters was also a pretty good show, lot darker then you might expect and the original "real" Ghostbusters did appear in one 2-part episode. BTW did anyone else see the rather drastic change in the style of the animation from around episode 7 and onwards?
Did someone say Space Adventure Cobra didn't have Japanese language track, because my copy does.
The original Arsène Lupin was a creation by Maurice Leblanc a French writer who created the character in the early 1900s. His stories were written during the "Golden Age" of Detective Fiction 1887-1940s.
LOL! When I first saw that PC World ad I thought it was a anti-piracy ad. |

Hee hee I figured Real ghostbusters should get a mention just in case people didn't know it was out there now, plus I have a soft spot for the ol' 80's toons
I've been really enjoying seeing it again, and now you mentioned the style thing, I have another excuse to re watch them _________________ "Lie back and think of England" |
