Up till now, since Funi's departure from MVMland, the only Funi logoed titles that MVM have released, have been Gonzo titles...
Well, Aquarion has a Funi logo, but it's produced by Satelight.
Of course as usual, we get the Madman masters...
But could this be one step forward?
Probably not.
But I'll hope anyway. As Funi have too much anime on their hands, and the more outlets they have in the UK, the better. Just Manga alone won't cut it. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

Would make sense to give Manga to higher profile titles, especially if they've a large episode count.
MVM would do better with the smaller shows with more niche appeal (imagine if they got One Piece!). In any case there is certainly enough to go round. _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

I think you are looking into things a bit too much...
If anyone got One Piece in the UK, it would be Manga. We all know they are trying to get it _________________ Avatar: Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore

I meant more: (imagine if they got One Piece! )
... I don't think it would be a good series for MVM at all as long series aren't their style. _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

I know MVM have Aquation, but how are they releasing it, I thought Aquarion was 24/6 episodes over 4 discs and I only got 1 check disc of 7 episodes worth. have MVM gone and split a R1 set again into individual volumes? _________________ ...

Funi's original release was two 13-episode sets I think which ran at around £25 a set. Getting two discs at a tenner each instead of them is still compares favourably.
Funi releasing the complete set more recently is another story, but it's still not too awful in terms of price imo. Maybe one day they'll follow Beez and Manga... _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

The US releases were a three disc set, followed by a two disc set, (must have been released while Funi were changing strategies) The Madman releases are two, two-disc sets. We get the volumes released individually.
The same thing happened with Samurai Deeper Kyo. So far R1 has only releases it in six disc sets, or six individual volumes. The Aussies stuck the episodes onto 4 discs, and released them as a single boxset. I checked the price back in August, and it would have cost around £45 to import it, which still means that the MVM discs compare favourably. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."
