A rare items thread, what have you got that's rare, what do you want that you can't find and more importantly where did you get them from, or can you help others find them.

Doesn't have to just be anime items some console games are now increasing hard to find even for the current gen consoles like PS2 / gamecube.

Does signed stuff count as rare? I'm sure a lot of us got stuff signed at cons we've gone to...

As for rarities, probably my rarest item is my copy of "Suikoden II" (PS1), which has an estimated Ebay value of £60. Not bad for a £10 pickup from a preowned section!

I've got that as well, like hell I'm gonna sell it! Laughing Great game that one...

I've also got Star Ocean the Second Story for PS1 which I've seen going expensive on ebay.

The rarest game I'm trying to get at the moment is a PAL copy of Space Channel 5 Part 2 for the PS2, but I'm in no major hurry on that one.

A lot of obscure anime is on VHS so with most fans being DVD-only fans obsessed with picture quality etc. don't really care that you've got anything. (it means they're cheaper on ebay though!)

Maybe my old edition of the Princess Mononoke DVD box with the book or my Fist of the North Star box count?

Me too, it's my favorite game of all time, behind Final Fantasy VII. Now if only I could find a copy of Suikoden 1 for under £50. I've played and completed it already (a friends copy) but I'd love my own one.

That's another game I'd love to own.

Is that the "controller" that takes up half a living room?

Not quite, but it is very big. Getting the box it came in was "fun" (the box is designed to look an ammo pack for the Mechs in the game, and seems to be to scale)

hmmmm I'd have to say the only things I own that seem to be rare (not sure if a limited run of 3000 counts) are my TF Galaxy Force Soundblaster and My G2 Laser Magnus. Magnus was an absolute pain in the bum region to get but was worth it.

Now games consoles, I have an Atari Jaguar with one controller and about 15/20 games, can't make up my mind weather to sell it.

Atari 2600 - Galaxian rocks!

Amiga A1200 - all my folks could afford when PCs were stupidly overpriced! Very Happy SWIV was the best game on this

As ar as games go, If anyones got a PAL copy of the PS1 version of Doom, Quake 2 and Duke Nukem I'll be interested in buying it off ya or at least asking for a peg-leg-pete copy Very Happy Woo HA ha ha ha!

I had a copy of Suikoden 1 but sold it on ebay as I knew it was rare got £56 for it too, bizzarly enough I've seen a copy of Suikoden II in a not-too-local blockbusters going for a $5 so I'll pick that up next time I'm there.

I did have Star Ocean: Second Story as well but it got stolen along with a bout 10 of my other games, that one was the rarest though and the only one I've never managed to replace.

I've got all 4 .hack games for PS2 vol3 of which is really rare usually going for £40ish, also got Z.O.E.2:The second runner and REZ which are both pretty rare.

Anime wise sure I've got my signed stuff which counts and not much else, maybe a couple of Megumi Hayashibara first-press CD's which I've heard are rare.

The things i really want to get hold of are the Blood+ game one night kiss for the PS2. I also want to get my hands on the real action Dann of Thursday figure from GunxSword, but its nearly £100.

Lastly i want to get hold of the replica Tusrgi sword cloud used in FF Advent children which is in the Square-Enix Master arm series, but it has yet to be relased.
