Just looked at this and let's say there's a few surprises.
A free virtual biscuit to anyone who guesses the number 1 without looking. It's not one you'd think of, at least not as the number 1.
I haven't read any more of the magazine yet but maybe discuss it here f you're inclined to. |

I'll guess .... Sgt.frog if the list is upcoming titles and
Eureka 7 if it's titles that are already being released, I'm picking both of those because I invariable disagree with the #1's in these countdowns which would be the case if it were either of those.
I forgot this was out today, I'll have to mip into town tomorow / friday and find me one. _________________ ...

Nope, no biscuit for you
First impressions of the magazine are pretty good.
It's very Ghibli centric, which appeals to me, and is sort of 5 Neo anime sections stuck together with features such as guides to anime terminology and how to draw anime etc.
Not many adverts, at £5.99, I'd hope not and the only thing I dislike so far is the space wasted on a 17 page World Of Warcraft manga. I kid you not.
Overall I think it's not bad for the money. |

Oh good lord anime mags have got to stop doing that, If I wanna read a manga I'll bloody by the graphic novel, couldn't they make it £4.99 and loose the 17 pages.
Sorry manga excerpts in these kind of mags really bug me. _________________ ...

Why is that bad thing? Is just because its "only" a WoW manga, or because its a manga full stop? _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Didn't say it was a bad thing just something I disliked which is a personal opinion. It's badly drawn and, imo, out of place in an anime magazine. |

Yeah the WOW manga doesn't exactly fit the classic manga art style and it doesn't make me rush to buy SFX, it's a shame their main readership will be suckered in by the manga, i guess that's 14-20+ boys? besides the world of warcraft manga is in my local library, why can't they feature manga that isn't over a year old! They should be featuring something new that's out this december like kashimashi or mail *whine*.
I'll try and hunt down a copy of this after my lectures today, it's what my student loan's for after all... ^_^ |

I got mine from Smiths but they only had around 10 copies on the rack.
No idea if they had more in the back. |

I got this magazine recently myself from WH Smith and I was really suprised by some of the entries on their top 25.
I wouldn't of thought that My neighbour Totaro would have been number 1 either. I agree with Akira and ghost in the shell the stand alone complex being second and third respectively. |

Heh but you don't get the biscuit as you looked.
Maybe my avatar was a clue.
Watched it again over the Xmas holidays and really enjoyed it. Harmless feelgood family entertainment. Has to be a good thing. |
