All The Way - Mikuni Shimokawa - Kino's Journey intro
. |
To add another coincidence out of my past batch of Yes Asia orders I've bought four of Mikuni Shimokawa's albums her work on FMP and Kino's Joureny really impressed me. :sd:
I tend to not find singles worth it, so usually track down the album equivelant like Saeko Chiba's "Hikari" (the ending theme to Heat Guy J) it's on the album "Melody" so I got that.

Kino's Journey is in the ADV sale at £7.99 per disk. If you haven't seen this it's a real gem of a series. Very different but really exceptional. |
Seconded, if you haven't seen Kino's Journey, you should. Very whimsical stories, excelent for those 3am viewing sessiosn when you're feeling all philosophical. A very differnt show and very underrated by anime fans.
back on track I'm currently listening to to the soundtrack to Einhander, a scolling PSone shoot-em-up by Square no less. _________________ ...

aww the Heat Guy J opening is such a feel good tune especially at "the appropriate level"
and Bubblegum OVA music is just classic! each part had it's own opening theme which was great Mad Machine and Hurricane are two of my faves! although Tokyo 2040 had some good ones, Im still trying to find THEIR version of hurricane.
my other faves are the music in the Fullmental ALchemist trailer, and the opening to ROD TV, my head always starts a bobbing at the beggining of that
and of course soundtracks to Miyazaki movies always get me right here *thumps his heart* _________________ Subtitles only!? If I wanted to read I would've bought a book! |

It's on the BGC 2040 1999 collectors file CD, which is either really expensive or increadably hard to find.
having said that I think i have the MP3 of it somewhere on CD _________________ ...

not really anime, well not anime, currently listening to the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack, which is again making me want to go play the game.
Anime theme wise I've been listening to Saeko Chiba's albums so that's a bit of Heat Guy J and Chrono Crusade's endings for me. _________________ ...

wonderful singing voice, I found her work through listening to See-Saw and picking out the vocalists from there.
I found myself hooked on the ending theme (ver1) to Eruerka 7, and can't decide if she sounds off-key or not. _________________ ...

Kiri by MONORAL - the Opening theme to Ergo Proxy
Despite not liking Radiohead their "Paranoid Android" goes really well with the end cdredits of the show, it suits Ergo Proxy. _________________ ...

Just heard Parade - Chaba from Naruto
Now that's a feelgood song if ever I heard one. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

Currently a bit partial to the works of Tomoe Shinohara,
so manic, cute, para para type music, think "ultra relax" (the opening to Kodocha) _________________ ...

I can't get the second opening to Otogi Zoshi out of my head.
I love the animation too, with the characters singing along to it. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

As I type this I've still got my I-pod on from walking the dog, so listening to Para Para mix#4 Yoko Ishida sings various anime themes, seen as it's a non-stop megamix it's a crime to stop it mid way through. _________________ ...

I have Hitomi no Kakera, opening theme from Madlax, running round my head as that's the series I'm watching at the moment.
That and the opening theme for Denno Coil. |
