For some reason Sky decided to send us the Sky Kids Magazine this month (along with the usual ones we get) - arcording to them (and a quick check of the Sky Guide confirmed it) Jetix will be showing some more new episodes of Naruto starting this thursday at 6:30PM _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Seeing as how Jetix seem to screen Naruto daily, they will have run out of fresh material after about 5 weeks. :/
Wish they wouldn't rush it out, it'd be nicer for fans if they could make the new material last otherwise there'll be another set of months which are barren from new Naruto.
(good stuff that they're sticking with the series all the same) |

Yeah i still think 2 eps a week would be a better idea, IMO.

Yes despite the "poor ratings" (at least going by what someone said back in August) and the "OMG EXTRA EDITS"... It must doing as well as they expected, or else they wouldnt pick up more eps than the initial 25. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

I actually think it has been doing well for them. All of the poor ratings claims were made by anime fans who stated that they turned off because of the edits, expecting all of the kids out there to be doing the same. Of course, none of those kids would be the slightest bit aware of any edits since they aren't familiar with the original. This has all happened before with the likes of Cardcaptors, Sailor Moon Dragonball and Pokemon. They showed on TV, got various kids interested in anime who ultimately looked for more of the same and ended up being anime fans. There was a lot of talk back then of how "unpopular" these shows were but that is simply unfounded belief by fans of the original versions. |

Ok, i havent watched any of this lot yet (because i missed a fair few new episodes they aired over christmas) but if anyone has seen any of it could they tell me what opening theme was used? Starting from ep 53 in the US the TV edit used the Japanese openings, just wondering if that would contiue over here
(if not ill sneak a peak tomorrow, if they havent run through new eps already) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Yep, Japanese opening song (and animation too i guess)! Guess it would be the 3rd one. (normally songs last 26 eps or so, right?) edit - arcording to wikipedia its the 2nd.
Now i need to wait for them to get to the point i last saw, lol (after the bit in teh forest) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

The second opening has lots of shots of the 3-man teams spinning around and mainly focuses on the Chunnin preliminary matches.
The third opening has this really weird sounding high-pitched singing (though not as high as Spiral, lol!).
Pretty cool (and bold) move using the origianl Japanese intros! |

Yeah. I wonder if Viz did it because they couldnt be bothered to commission a new special English opening? (or maybe the complainers got to them) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note
