Naruto.... cry?

Manly tears are the same as normal cept they are..... manlier?

Nah, it was actually quite moving in a genuine sense as it's not coming from a character you'd expect it to. This is coming from someone who wasn't upset by the ending of Gunslinger Girl.

Yeah, I don't normally cry at movies and stuff, but it really struck a chord with me because Chouji's thinking back on the only people who have ever been nice to him. A bit like my life, really. Except that I don't grow wings and beat ten tons of crap out of people.

I guess so. Razz Although i don't drink beer (give me vodka with either coke or orange any day of the week), dont like red meat that much or football.

I like porn though *coughs*

1 out of 4 on that manly scale then, lol

The idea of a man having tears made of red meat, beer, porn and football running down his face is actually quite disturbing.

Messy too... Razz Not like good 'ol female tears!

Actually that's what the girls in the show were. Laughing

The ending was more a logical conclusion than anything else considering the content - unless they suddendly changed the tone and added in a Tenchi-type charcter *shudders*, there's little other direction it could have gone in.

Props to Chouji all the same. Smile

Do you want to make a grown man cry?

Forget anime, show him Field Of Dreams. Crying or Very sad

It is much harder to get emotional about something when you can see exactly what is coming. For instance, if there was some breakthrough meaning that things ended better for them or if there was mention of a breakthrough after the fact then there would be cause for more emotion. As it was, sad as the premise was, you had 12 episodes to get used to what was going to happen so when it did there was little effect or shock at the outcome.

What he said. I could see it coming a mile off so there was little dramatic impact. I want surprises and shocks that haunt me after having finished.

I'll admit Grave of the Fireflies did very much the same thing, but the long and painful execution was much more brutal than sitting around looking at the pretty stars... (don't get me wrong I liked the show a lot - there were just no tears flowing from me)

Last Exile!

Last episode made me cry. Thought I'd just tear up at first, but no, got a couple of tears rolling down my cheeks.

Bah, I'm such a sap.
