Coming to the end of 2 weeks off work /cry during which I watched:

Otogi Zoshi up to the end of the first arc
Noir disks 4&5
The Place Promised ....

Otogi Zoshi was enjoyable. Looking forward to the next arc episodes.
Noir is just well one of my favourite series.
Place Promised.I know is a marmite film, but I love it to death Very Happy

Just watched through Haruhi Suzumiya Vol 1 (Regular Edition) - so much fun Very Happy (although I feel so sorry for Mikuru...)

I also liked the little clip at the beginning explaining the deal with the different episode orders - nice touch Smile

Finished volume 1 of Negima and I really like it. Totally stupid and a bit of a laugh. Looking forward to continuing with the boxset. Smile

Red Garden #3 and Pani Poni Dash #4, though I split the pani poni veiwing with Red Garden. Both were good but not great. Red garden seems to have lost somthing as it introduced the reasons "why".

Beck V4.

Still awesomely awesome. But it did feel like it was coasting for four episodes here.

Admittedly it's like coasting in a Ferrari. Very Happy

That's some strong praise, I gotta ask what am I missing, the first volume (all I watched) was good but nowhere near great, has the lead improved over how he started with his sucky life.

Well, Koyuki still has 'target' tattooed on his forehead, but he's grabbed the reins of his life with both hands and he's making things happen. Actually, it's pretty amazing how with all the good things that happen in his life, the story can still make me feel sorry for the little tyke.

Ah, koyuki ellicited a completely different responce from me int eh first volume, I've got zero tollernace for wussy leads now, trying to sort his own life out sounds good, I presume he's at least he's growing as a person from all the bad things happenign then.

You should have stuck with it. He's not your traditional wussy lead. Bad things may happen to him, but he overcomes them, more importantly, he enjoys the good things that happen, and it's a nice balance between good and bad. It isn't one big depress fest.

By the end he has grown considerably and is considerably stronger for what he has been through. He really annoyed me for much of the first half of the series when I first watched it so i can definitely see where you are coming from but I warmed to him over the course of it. I won't say you will absolutely like by the end but he does get more bearable as the series goes on.

Black Lagoon Volume 3...

No, got nothing bad to say about this whatsoever. Just 90 minutes of me, the TV, the DVD player, and a silly grin plastered on my face. Damn Damn F**k!

Utawarerumono voluem 4 last night, good stuff, suprisingly so. Though I still find a lot of the names laughable. It's like they were picking scrabble tiles or something.

"JOZXYQK" !!

Moon Phase v6

a series which started out promisingly but just petered out at the end. It was just too damn repetitive...

Enjoyable, but unspecial.
