I want to get there earlier than I did last year, mainly due to the industry panel being so early in the day (11am, if I don't get there at about 10, I wont get in until 11!)

Argh, does that mean there's a queue to get in!? Shocked

I'll get there as early as I can, but I'm notoriously bad at getting up when I'm with Gemma. We just keep sleeping.

Stupid buses *grumbles*

How long d'you reckon it takes to get there from London Waterloo? Any ideas?

checking the map for the underground, I'd estimate 20 minutes, using the following route:

Waterloo > Canning Town (Jubilee)
Canning Town > Excel (DLR)

It's essentially half of the route that I took last year, when i got on the Jubilee line from Baker Street (I arrived in London via Marylebone)

As for queues, there is a queue to get in, but it shouldn't be that long. 15-30 minutes is the amount I queued in May.

There's a trick to the queues, as there's the early bird tickets which allow entries at 10am so arriving around 9-10am will put you in those queues, 10am onwanrds and you can but normal entiry tickets cheaper but don't allow entry until 11pm. or still but an early bird ticket

At one expo we arrived at 10.50 and I realised that technically we could still buy early bird tickets, so bought them and walked right in. no queues because all the early birds had already queued and got in around 10-10.30.

that's a good point, and a good idea if I arrive that late, I hope not though.
Given that I'll likely only be 20 minutes behind you Damo, keep an eye open for me if you're still queueing up at that point. I'll be the one that's stopping every cute cosplayer I see to take their photo. (and you know that's not a joke!)

Well im going to bring my camera this year Wink

So what are people taking to get signed? im going for 2 dvd covers each - Eureka Seven vol 1 and Trigun vol 1 for Johnny Young Bosch, Fruits Basket vol 1 and Gunslinger Girl vol 1 for Laura Bailey and Rumbling Hearts vol 2 and Kiddy Grade vol 1 for Colleen Clinkenbeard.

I had hoped i had a Case Closed (anime) volume that had Rachel Moore on the front so that Colleen could sign it but amazingly there isnt any ive got Sad and i like the signatures to match with whos on them...

Although the first movie cover has Rachel on. But its a bit dark... Mmmmm

I have 3 things each, It's a good number. That's not to say that I'm bringing 9 things Wink

Colleen: Negima box, Tsubasa box, Rumbling Hearts vol2
Laura: Negima box, Tsubasa box, Fruits Basket vol1
JYB: Haruhi box, GunSword vol3*, (either) Haruhi pencilboard or Haruhi armband

* I'd love to get JYB to sign the cover of GunSword that his character is on, but it's not out here yet, so I chose the first volume he appears in, in any depth.
The sad thing is, the majority of the JYB roles I know, I'm renting not buying.

Guess I'll try and come just before 11 then.

*cringes at thought of getting up early*

Plus I guess it'll be Sunday, so all the good stock will have gone Very Happy At least I've got plenty to watch at the moment!

Might not post again until after tonight due to work and going to a friends, so have a good time everybody! Even if I won't recognise you if I see you and most of you are going on Saturday anyway. Have fun! Very Happy

lets see signatures
Colleeen - Kiddy grade vol3 the one that has Eclaire on the reverse, samurai 7 #7 because it's the lightest coloured cover, and Solty Ray #2, & going to buy the Rumbling hearts box while there and get that signed.
Laura
Fruits basket #1, Blue gender box set (brick) so yep I'm bringing the discs too. and Gunslinger Girl #1
JYB Last xile #1, Wolfs rain #1 and Heat guy J #2, I would have brought Petit cossete and Stellvia but he uses his other name on those.

For Laura and Colleen a few of the covers might end up with both signatures on them, and I'll be buying some rev stuff, so more from those too.

Im not going to bring boxes. Id love to get them signed but im worried something would happen to them.

I did add another dvd cover to each of them so Smile to that! And i might still relent and bring the Case Closed movie cover.

All the weirdo's come from your space? Well that explains a lot Very Happy

I'll copy my write-up over to the news section in a second, and I'll upload the pictures at some point next week.
