Well I bought the entire Angelic Layer series.
More money down the pit of anime and manga... |

Divergence Eve and Area 88 for me...
I thought about more, but somehow managed to restrain myself. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

I was dubious about me liking Area 88 but when I watched it I loved it.
I have no idea why.
The opening music/clips are still one of my favourite ones. |

Area 88 was a deffo purchase for me, simply because I have nothing like it in my collection. I had to think for an hour about Divergence Eve though, as it's ending got a negative review here, but it was liked more at AnimeonDVD. Now I have to think about importing the Area 88 OVA, and series 2 of Divergence Eve: Misaki Chronicles.

Divergence Eve is an odd title. The character models are rather... less serious than the story they are in. I can only think that the mechs they pilot were built on the cheap so the girls need to provide their own airbags... or something like that . Misaki Chronicles delves deep into realms of mindf**k and was quite enjoyable. |

If you watched Divergence Eve then Misaki Chronicles is a must really, continues the story directly goes mind F8**k terratory and has a really good ending. It's like Vandread, series 1 has an ending but feels oh so incomplete until you see second stage. _________________ ...

Had a problem with my card, sorted it out and Angelic Layer 1 was out of stock.
So had to get that one from play instead.

Not gotten round to watching Area 88 or Divergence Eve, but Angelic Layer is really cool stuff imo.
Not sale stuff, but just used that 7-year anniversary discount coupon to order the Tsubasa box and the second Phoenix Wright manga.
Side note: (sorry, it's kind of a thread hijack post really) any club members might want to check in at the new forums (over at uk-anime.net) as I'm there's something club-related there I want to ask people about. Ok, I'm done now. |

No Divergence Eve for me...
The discs wouldn't play.
Neither would the replacements that AoL sent.
I'll have to take comfort in the Area 88 discs instead. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

That's pretty good value, the show isn't anything special but it has some fun service, and some fun extras. Anyone who is offended by pointless fanservice need not apply. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards
