Anime discs aren't exactly known for extra features, but some do get them.
Which do you prefer, cast commentaries, making of featurettes, bonus episodes, radio dramas?
Do you have any favourites in particular?
I love the Burst Angel radio dramas, and listen to them along with the show without fail.
I quite like the Basidisk extras on the Basilisk discs, maybe even prefer them to the anime a little bit.
Conversely, I don't see the point of clean credits (except on the Funimation discs, where the video re-editing on the English language credits leave much to be desired... jaggie nightmare) _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

| I really like the voice actor outtakes that were on the FLCL dvd. Other than that...hmm...I don't really pay much attention to extras. |

I love voice actor commentaries, unfortunatly it's something that is becoming much rarer as the US anime industry tries to reduce costs to survive... _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

I didn't get this, it was only available in the US version, but for me the free white panties that came with Najica disk 1 has to be worthy of a mention. If you've seen the series then you'll know the relevance.
As for on disk stuff then I don;t often bother watching the extras. Maybe the trailers and sometimes the commentaries but rarely the interviews etc. _________________ When people fail at being alive, they die.

They were giving them away/selling them at Amecon the one year _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

| I love commentaries, but the best are entire extra episodes which help bulk up the running time evenif they're called as 'extras'. (Genshiken, .hack//Gift and Ushio and Tora come to mind) |

| The Jiggle-counter in Burn Up was absolutely classic and is great fun. Naze Nani Shana on the Shakugan no Shana DVDs is a lot of fun and quite informative as well. The My HiME mini-episodes were also a lot of fun and also quite informative. The outtakes reals for Madlax and Texhnolyze (especially the latter, given the serious and oppressive nature of the subject material, makes the humour a great contrast). |

Oh yes the jiggle counter
You know ADV have trademarked that! (or patented it. Not sure) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

I like trailers...despite the fact they tend to be god awful.
Outtakes and gag reels can be good too, but I rarely watch commentaries though I have on occasion. |

I love audio commentaries, in english or japanese, the english ones I often put on int eh background.
Gilgamesh vol#7 has a great ectra, which is Steven Foster (ADR direcotr) reading us his production journal.
ADV vid notes are worth a mention also. As well as the conversations with SSS on teh Madlax DVDs. _________________ ...
