Am I just being a snob or are they all really bad?

Some trailers I've seen (Getbackers to name one) would put me right off the show. I'm only glad I started Get Backers before I saw it.

Any opinions on this? Favourite trailer, worst trailer? Or am I alone?

I like some dislike others and I never, well almost never, watch trailers before I watch the series as I hate spoilers.

Try 2 of my top 3 series, SE LAin is the other but the MVM trailers are appalling being just clips.
Kino's Journey
Noir

And for the fanservice fans out there

I hadn't seen the Najica Blitz Tactics trailer before...it's good.

I don't think I'll watch it though...far too much underwear for my liking Laughing

The Noir and Kino's Journey trailers are good (I want to see Kino's Journey after watching the trailer) but their still nowhere near as good as normal trailers.

I guess they don't have the same time/budget for anime trailers. Sad

Too much underwear? You mean you want them to wear less Wink Seriously though the sheer number of panty shots in Najicaa has to be some sort of record. I didn't like it that much as it seemed too cynical unlike, say, Ikki Tousen where the fanservice was done with humour. Hmm a debate on fanservice Laughing

Kino's Journey is wonderful being, as I said, one of my top 3 series even though I first watched it 2 years ago. The trailer is a little misleading though as it's definitely not an action series being very whimsical and almost philosophical. Wonderful series. Hugely underated by animedom as a whole.

Oh I think I got a bit of the philosophical whimsy feeling from the trailer of Kino's journey. Just a case of having enough money to buy it now.

And no I don't want more panties Razz Or less... Very Happy

I'll stick with no under-skirt views at all. That said, there are some so far in Full Metal Panic, and I'm watching that...

Ooh ooh one I forgot!

Haven't got round to buying the DVD yet, I have the original VHS releases from the 90s and worry the new dub won't be as good.

Don't look if you're easily offended. This is one series you either love, it's so absurd, or hate, it's just disgusting. Depends on your tastes. To be honest I was surprised it got past the BBFC at all never mind uncut.

Thanks for raising this topic by the way it's got me looking back over my old trailers Very Happy

I love the trailer for Stratos 4 mostly because it features the full length version of the theme, First Priority, which I love.

I don't. I've seen it on some BEEZ DVDs but have never looked for it online unfortunately.

Seek and ye shall find.

By the wonders of YouTube.

Not sure if this is the full version but this is the link anyway.

There's a fair few files there so if it's not the one then it may be one of those.

Oh and yes I am at a loose end tonight Very Happy

Thanks Random! Very Happy (and I've been at a loose end all day - damn illness...*growls*)

The 1st Priority song is good! I can see how a trailer might work to that - looks like quite a good show actually Very Happy

Sorry to hear you're ill.

This one should cheer you up. Although not anime.

Apologies to everyone else who I bored to death with this but it still makes me smile.

PS there's 2 parts but you have to use the scroll bar thing at the end of the first to see the second.

1st priority is indeed awesome, as is any music made by Melocure. If you show me an anime, play me music by Melocure or the late Ritsuko Okazaki, I will pay you through the nose for the series.
