|
|
Neo issue 41 states that MVM have just gotten FLCL in a last minute addition to the mag.
Not announced in any editorials, but there's a whole page saying Haruhi's coming here from April. No company or distributor is mentioned which makes it all the more mysterious...
I think that's about it, there's lots of previews for stuff coming out next year but no other titles that weren't already confirmed from what I can see. |

FLCL should be given a straight to collection release imo, especially considering how long after the original release....
3 discs can fit in a single dvd case, as Manga have proved.
So is the Haruhi news an ad then? Haruhi + mysterious fits - a similar thing happened with its US release announcement. (the animeondvd frontpage was a good 'un) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Yep it says 'SOS Brigade, coming to the UK from April 2008' and has a picture of the main character ripping through the page.
The only legal blurb on there is for the Japanese copyright so no clues on the UK company involved. (although I'd guess it's Beez anyway) |

Interesting finds. FLCL will be a big seller as it seems to have a big fan following. As for Haruhi, it has even bigger fan following, many of who may double dip, especially if [unknown distributor] manages to release it in broadcast order. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

I've just been doing some updating of my releases file (and therefor the releases list at Anime on DVD) and I spotted these two banners at anime-on-line:
MVM using Haruhi in their banners? Could just be a coincidence, but in this world of rumours, it is definitly a consideration! _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

Wow, they are crap looking banners
Remember MVM had a Naruto banner before it had its UK license/TV channel announcement....
(although id be happy with MVM) _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

I'll agree with everything so far, FLCL - straight to collection and Haruhi needs to be complete broadcast & DVD order (reguardless of BBFC) and please don't let R2/UK be the only region without an artbox.
I hope whoever does have it might cover it like Madman did. _________________ ...

Isn't the other image that's used from Ai Yori Aoshi? (or however it's spelt!) Would that mean another future title is on the cards? |

Hot DOG! It's about damn time! I've been waiting for FLCL for so lonnnggg.....
I still don't know about Haruhi...the first episode was hilarious, then after that it turned into a school anime full of breast jokes...
Anyway, more releases in the UK can never be a bad thing! Hazzah! |

It could be but I don't remember Santa-san (looks curiously like Aoi but isn't ) being quite so risque... It would definitely be nice to see that appearing here, especially since the US release is no longer available with the demise of Geneon's US distribution. |

There are other Genoen titles that I'd much rather see than Ai Yori Aoshi.
But Ai Yori Aoshi is one of the better harem animes out there. _________________ ...

Agreed. (at least from what I read of the manga anyway!) |

I enjoyed the TV series a lot (I got the lot including Enishi, the second series, way back before Geneon bit the dust) and adequately brings the characters to life . |
