Okay, so I got my newest batch of imports today. Loads of stuff, VOTOMS, Patlabor, Dragonball, Desert Punk..

I've started watching the first volume of the first Patlabor TV boxset.

It's a lot more slapstick than the movies, but it's still quite fun. While the dub isn't as good as the movies (Or I'm more used to Manga's dub... I dont know which.) it's still pretty good, and keeping with the characters.

God I love me some retro anime.

Finished watching Gunslinger Girl last night. I'm glad I got it - it was worth it! (wasn't that much of a tearjerker - online hype loses!)

Your heartless!

Smile

Saw the 5th volume of Negima, somehoew the anime condenses a plot arc that took up 2 whole manga volumes (+ a bit in another volume) into 2 eps!

And it still made sense O_O

I am currently watching she the ultimate weapon. I have just finished watching the first 4 episodes and am really enjoying it. Has anyone else seen this series and what do they think of it?

I also started watching some of the studio ghibli collection that my partner got me for xmas. I really loved everything about Laputa castle in the sky. Very Happy

Rounded off the holiday with:

Totoro.
The Cat Returns, again, I like to watch films twice close together.
Kiki

So that's 7 Ghibli's in 10 days. Hmm, I may have a problem.

I watched the first two episodes of Bincho-tan, it was so sweet/cute/adorable that it made me cry. About a tiny girl who lives in a forest, this is really an experience drama - no action here, well she rides on the back of a duck and gets a 'bus ride' from a bird. So cute, you might like it if you like Kamichu.

Saikano is awsome, a really powerful if melodramatic series, it's one of the few series I got so wrapped up in a watched all 13 episodes alomst back to back.

Finished watching Le Portrait de Petite Cossette last night, which was...

Interesting.

Okay, I'm not a fan of horror at the best of times, and overdosing on cliche doesn't help either.

But still, there was a nice twist, and it looks and sounds gorgeous.

Hmm *nods nods* it did have soem pretty funky visuals goping on in places, very trippy, I could do witha rewatch for plot though as I got distracted with the visuals.

speaking of horror I finished off Elfen Lied yesterday, gawd that show is full of monsters and not just Lucy/Nana most of the humans are pretty horid in it too, even Kohta is violent and aggressive when he wants to be. And those spolierbrats who killed young Lucy's dog/spolier - but they got what they deserve.

Been watching some low attention span shows lately. Had a great time watching Airmaster 1 and Tenjho Tenge 3.

It's a shame Airmaster's release was never completed as it's really fun. Crying or Very sad At least I've stll got volume 2 to get through. (intend to order Tenjho Tenge 4 soon as it's at a good price on play.com)

Boogiepop Phantom 1-3.

Very strange so far and a lot of similarities stylewise to SE Lain as has been mentioned by others.
