Well since there's possibly going to be a DVD release heading our way I thought it would be nice to set up a little thread in honour of this mintylicous puppet show.

So first off who remembers it? I'm afraid to say I only found out about in Uni when i friend lent me his scary VCD copy of it, which half way through the series suffers a very large audio sync problem
so as you can guess im keen to nab the DVD Very Happy

I remember Star Fleet very foundly

Ironically when I was at Uni I and one other were the only two to remember it, the rest really honestly thought we were making it up.

I think it was on just before my time. The first I heard of it was when Manga Max did a big article on it a few years ago.

Since I've never heard the original Japanese dub I can't really comment but as eng dubs go it didn't really spoil my enjoyment of the show, you're best searching for clips on youtube and judging for yourself, theres tons of them.

Star Fleet's English is about as good as all the other puppet shows of the 80'#s no better or worse than Terrahawks, thunderbirds, sting ray et-al.

Star Fleet may have a french/japanese origin but it's kids who grew up in the 80's and are fortunate enough to remember it who will buy in the end.
