Tokyopop will cut staff and half its output apparently:

Makes me wonder what will happen to the UK branch? (although according to Neo they aim to speed up their releases to catch up with the US at some point)

Huh.

I've already noticed that some of the Tokyopop series I read don't seem to be putting out dates for the next volume...

Any idea what they are cutting?

This happened a while ago but there's never been an official list or anything. I think chunk of Korean titles got cut. A lot of people are fretting over completing their collections, but I think for most titles its just that the releases have slowed down... a lot.

Not sure what's been going on with Tokyopop over the last couple years. Call me cynical but once they've finished releasing Fruits Basket and Kingdom Hearts they're gonna struggle aganist the big guns. They need another big, big title asap.

What series are you looking for?

Well I do hope they release the rest of the series I collect.

I don't read much Tokyopop stuff, but the couple I do collect I really like.

They've got the new title by the Fruits Basket author, Phantom Dreams or something...

*coughcashincough*

Yeah I think it's 5 volumes long or something. I'm tempted, but really just wish they get Fruits Basket done and over with.

They got another of her titles coming out soon as well:

I read the first 10 or so of Fruits Basket and then got sick of it.

Nobody is that nice.

I really enjoyed the anime though. I'd have watched more of that, just not the manga.

Lol! I never found her that bad. The tears start to fall the more time goes on. There's a couple of proper nutcases in there so the dark side of it keeps me ticking over.

*laughs*

Ok, I know, but she is nicer than most unrealistic nice people. She doesn't even have any moments of weakness!
