Made a big dent in Ghost Hunt seires 1 part 2, having watched 2 out of the three stories, they've upped the stakes a little bit in the second half of hte series with the ghosts and what not beign that little bit more active and threatening.

Watching 10 episodes over a day I picked up on a few character niggles, Mai isn't all that liked by a couple of them and that comes to a head finally espetially with Lin.

An there's one of those moments where you just think naru is a snidey git.

xxxHolic Series 1 part 1 - I was quite surprised by this as it was completely not what I thought it was going to be (perhaps having seen the cameo in Tsubasa influenced me) yet I still really enjoyed it.

I keep meaning to get xxxHolic to watch it...

Elfen Lied volume 1. I'd been dubiously meaning to watch this as well, but for far longer. I was put off by the ultra-violence and nudity things though.

Glad I saw it - I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but the fanservice can be a little overdone at times. Nyu is a little too cutesy. I love the opening though, and I am definitely intrigued.

I recommend it.

I had thought that it was going to be almost a straight up horror anthology type show, where each ep. would involve someone coming in getting some item and either learning a valuable lesson or meeting a untimely end with each episode focussed mainly on the guest characters. That element is still there but the guest character often takes a back seat to our main cast and the characters (the main 4 anyway) are quite well developed, and I became far more interested in what awaits those characters in future episodes.

Oh come on! Maybe I notice it more because I am a girl, but all the 'oh no my breasts are almost slipping out of my tshirt' and 'oh my, I must change your clothes because they are wet, oh now I must change your underwear' and girls scrubbing each other in the tub and saying 'that tickles'

I thought that was all fanservice, but I guess it could be intrinsic to the plot somehow Shocked Wink

Haibane Renmei Vol. 3 - It's been a while since I watched volume 2, but I still love the serene feeling watching this gives me.

Samurai Champloo Vol 5 - I love this series - it's a real shame I was prejudiced against it for so long. I want Fuu and Jin to get together Cool

Watched the first episode of K-ON! and the first episode of 07-Ghost online. Looks like these might be series I have to start following too...

I started my Shakugan no Shana box set today and watched the first disc, it was quite enjoyable and Im looking forward to see where it goes.

Unusually, I started watching it dubbed (which is how I always watch anime on its first watch) but for the fourth I switched to Japanese w/subtitles to hear my favourite, Rie Kugimiya, and that added an extra spark. No disrepect to the dub (as I think its great) but I think Im breaking my trend and watching the rest subbed and the dub will get heard on the rewatch.

Changing to the Japanese to listen to Rie Kugimiya is nothing to be ashamed of. Smile

That is true. Also the fact her voice is in several series I adore just adds to how much I like her.

Now the ultimate question is, if forced to choose between a jp/dub with Rie Kugimiya and a e/dub with Luci Christian who would I choose? Luckily I dont think Ive had to make that choice yet

Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise.

Wow. Think this is one of those rare films thats called a classic that deserves the title.

The near-rape scene though - nearly took me right out of the film. Can understand it was showing how Shiro was worn out by the publicity surrounding his space mission.... but yeah. Not really needed.
