Finished Ouran High School Host Club Part 2 great comedy anime I was in tears of laughter for a good portion of these episodes particularly the two with "Boss Nova-Kun". Though the last 2 episodes perhaps we're a little forced in some plot points, the conclusion was mildly satisfying and a tremendous cop out at the same time. Laughing

I'm glad you liked OHSHC. It's my favourite series and I was so happy when it was released legally. And it's got such a good response too!

The end was a bit of a cop-out but those 2 episodes with the boss where fantastic. Good choice *thumbs up*

Just a quick question for both of you. Did you notice any problems with either of the soundtracks on Ouran as Ive heard its rather "tinny" on one of them (I can't remember which) so Ive been holding out on buying them till I can get this confirmed or not.

The Japanese track was a lot quieter than the American, but nothing that couldn't be solved by turning the volume up, though I wouldn't recommend swapping between the two without adjusting the volume I thought I was gonna blow my speakers more than once.

Gurren Lagann part 1 - A enjoyable mecha series with some hints of comedy. Looking forward to the next volume.

Disk2 of Last Exile rewatch.
Finished Tenjho Tenge with disk7.
Armitage III - Polymatrix for a bit of retro.

While I enjoyed Tenjho Tenge a lot I was left disappointed by the final disk and the way the story finished. Not bad as such just presumably there's a 2nd series or OVA.

I wish there was, but I don't think they ever made on. Episodes 25+6 were OVA releases in Japan, so I think that's as good as it gets. Sad

Artmitage is cool. The OVA series was much better though imo. Never got to see the second one (is it called Dual Matrix?) so wonder if that's any good.

I've got the OVAs and Dual Matrix. Dual Matrix is a pretty good squeal, but suffers from trying to fit too much into a short space of time.

Polymatrix is just the OVAs re-cut into a 2 hour movie right?

I've just finished Twin Signal which was very average, glad I only spent 99p on it.

I have the original 4 episodes on VHS as well as the DVD which is, as you say, the 4 episodes cut together, but with a new dub. Elizabeth Berkley and Kiefer Sutherland.

I've got the R1 DVD released by Pioneer with the 4 episodes uncut, I did used to have the UK VHS release as well ages ago.
The scene with Armitage crying in eps1 right at the end I thought the original dub OVA actress pulled it off better than Misss Berkley.

I watched the first four episodes of Gundam 00 this evening. It's pretty decent.

Elizabeth Berkley and Kiefer Sutherland also did Dual Matrix I believe, I don't remember the dub for either being particularly great.
