I finished Moon Phase.
It was a okay show, the first 13 or so episodes were rather good then it lost itself for a while, though it did get better it didn't top the earlier stuff. I found that the frequent bedpan falls, and the shots that made things look like a stage play (including shots showing stage lights and microphones) missed their mark, I didn't quite get the point as it really didn't match the attitude of the show, just seemed pointless.
The show had some serious flaws, and I thought it struggled really hard to keep my interest. Not something I would openly recommend...but I've seen far worse shows of this genre. |

I've got the UK soundtrack to this, but oddly they sample quotes from the show over the top which is a bit weird. Cool CD otherwise. ^^ _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

Watched Sword of the Stranger on Sunday, very cool and stylish samurai flick.
Today i got started on watching Code Geass, which is starting off very well, aside from the fact that we are the baddies _________________ Avatar: Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore

Watched the first 2 episodes on Saturday night. The Britannia thing was kinda funny, especially when the map made it out to be America, lol.
I'd heard a lot of good things about it, and was not let down. Nice start!
Also got in the first ep of Sgt. Frog. Unusual for me, but I didn't take a liking to the dub so had to switch to subs. I found the dub changes the style of humour quite dramatically, and therefore the original intent if lost. As a fan of the manga I made the fanboy decision! Technically we're not. It's not a spoiler (it's background information that shouldn't change anything) but if you don't want to know, don't read the spoiler below:
SPOILER (highlight)
The Britannian Empire is actually North America. It's an alternate history where The British won the American War of Independance. However, when France invaded Britain a few years later our military strength was much lower and we were forced to abandon Great Britain. The British essentially turned North America into their homeland, only known differently.

Code Geass part 1 - Excellent series so far. Can’t wait for part 2.
Watched the first two discs of Devil May Cry. Really good so far.
(Rewatch)
Azumanga Daioh - Not as funny as the first time, but it was still enjoyable. |

Code Geass is definitely an excellent series, finished the last disc of part 1 today. I should of got part 2 at the London Expo
Holy crap though, did they really show Nina Einstein masturbating over a picture of that Britannian princess? (and going by the BBFC rating, thats episode was given a PG ) _________________ Avatar: Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore

Finished off Devil May Cry. Overall I really enjoyed it.
Jyu-Oh-Sei - This series started off well, but the story let it down towards the end.
FLCL - Wasn’t sure what to make of this series after the first two episodes, but the third episode had me in stitches, and episodes 4, 5, and 6 were good. The series as a whole was enjoyable, once I understood it. |

Not really the right time of the year, but i watched My Santa today. Enjoyable enough fluff. Very Akamatsu - nerdy guy, cute looking girls, silliness abound. _________________ Avatar: Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore

Whatever it is she seems to be strangely drawn towards him in that picture. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

Oh I know, I've got the US release of it (and enjoyed it). I was just saying that her head looks like it is actually beeing drawn towards his ear.
As for the anime itself, it's completely pointless fun. If you expect a deep story or complex characters, then look elsewhere, but as something to waste a bit of time watching it does its job. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards
