Listening now, just on the confusion about Death Note figures. The series is 9 volumes in a America and each volume comes in a standard and "special edition" version.
The first special edition comes with the first manga volume and then each subsequent volume comes with a figure. The figures are Light, L, Jealous (who the heck is that?), Misa, Rem and Mello which take us up to Volume 7* (Volume 8 comes out in December, Vol 9 in 2009 and I can't tell which figures come with those though I'd suspect one is Near). So as Manga Ent. are releasing Death Note over 4 (?) volumes we naturally will loose a couple of figures.

That sounds about right to me. So far we've had:
1 - Light
2 - L
3 - Misa/Ryuk
...no idea about what happens after that.
I got the first two, but couldn't decide which to get for volume 3 so instead decided to save myself some money as pre-ordered the standard edition as it's much cheaper. |

Foonimation! Foonimation! Foonimation!
OT: I finally heard someone say Geneon. It was in a trailer on the Hellsing Ultimate disc.
Turns out it's pronounced Jenny-on! _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

don't expect it to be pronounced that way on the eyeonanime podcast. _________________ ...

I've been pronunkiating it as Jean-on as far back as I can remember, but I guess it could also be Genny-on. You should do it in a French accent, Juhneeon (silent final n) _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

From what I've heard so far (1hr in) It's pretty good. It's more of the same really, the format has worked so you're sticking to it.
The FMP chat was interesting to me, as I'm currently reading the Full Metal Panic novels. (so far three have been released by Tokyopop)
Reading the books gives a different aspect to the stories, as they go into a lot more detail. An interesting thing is that a lot of the stories told in Fumoffu are taken from the novels and chronologically they take place during the events of Full Metal Panic (first series).
The first three novels cover all of what you see in the first series, but are split into the individual events. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

Oh you want us to bitch....
Nah my only real major complaint was that I got a bit bored because you seemed to talk about Bleach for far too long. I kinda knew all the stuff you were saying already and just wanted you to move on. |

that's bound to happen depending on who's watched what, I tend to buy and watch far more anime than Ian and Rob so hopefully I'll have some obscuritites in the future.
Question,
to help in skipping bits would better show notes help noting times as well as content. _________________ ...
