Amecon is returning this year, and registrations opened this evening... sort of. (You can't pay yet)
This year it's moved to Keele University rather than Leicester Uni, registrations cost £45, and accomodation will be cheaper than Ayacon but slightly more expensive than it was at Leicester (but will come with breakfast!)
I've registered already. Registrations are open over at their website.
No guests announced as of yet, but they will be getting some. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

Just do what I did - type your postcode and Keele Uni's postcode into a journey planner and press go. It'll give you a basic outline of how to get there by public transport.
I know for me it's not too hard...
Home
-bus (45min)
Birmingham City Centre
-train (1hr-ish)
Stoke-on-Trent
-bus (30min)

Will probably be home > Paddington > Birmigham, and then copy you. Epic voyage!
I'll try not to think about it too much... _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

Looking at TransportDirect's website, the Virgin Train "London Euston > Manchester Piccadilly" one is actually the one you want (and also the one that goes through Birmingham which I'll be catching) _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

*regrets booking already* XD
Actually thanks for that info - just had a look at the site as well and it doesn't seem too bad really. 2 hours on the train from Euston, and then a 30 mins bus ride. That's not too complicated! (I badly need more proper travel experience, lol) _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |
