...anyone ever been to one these?

They're all over the place! I went to one when it had just started a few years ago (in Canterbury at the time) and there was a quiz, cosplay and discounted sales. Not a lot going on (and some of the fans got on my nerves, but that's par for the course I guess), but it was kinda fun.

I went with a mate and we were on the upper end of the age scale.

I'm curious as to what more recent ones are like as they seems pretty popular. Are they all full of emo teens, kids, hardened otaku ot a wider range? I would be tempted to go to another one if I knew for sure I wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb like some kind of perv... (I promise I'm not!)
