It's a small thing (for me the sub fiend), but Vol 1 of the Second Barrage doesn't have 5.1 English. Disappointing after the first series. Sad

Geneon tended to be the 5.1 (and DTS) nuts when it came to there releases FUNi tend to still play to the lower (more common) denominator with a 2.0 mix. could be FUNi's influence on the discs fromt here takeover of geneons titles.

Possibly they only bothered to do a basic TV mix (AKA stereo) since the DVD release was up in the air.

The US are getting DTS...

From what I understand, Funimation are just handling the distribution side of it, Geneon are still authoring the discs, producing the dubs and so on.

EDIT: Just checked, it's apparently a Region 4 thing. The Madman PAL discs are stereo only as well.

The dub was done way back when season 1 was done :p

Most likely at the Madman got the materials, they could only get a stereo track for the dub, since it was probably the only version available.

Anyway - you dont watch dubs so why you worry? Razz Wink

I have to find some little thing to bitch about in my review! And I have to think about all the little peeps who do prefer the dub, speak for the common man and all that. T

he thing I want above all in my anime is consistency. If you start something, you should see it through. (See Otogi Zoshi extras and dubtitles, Heat Guy J boxsets, and so on and so forth.)
