Shamelessly ripping into someone else's site and hard work, Mangacast have put up a list of discontinuted manga by publisher.
http://mangacast.net/?p=1886

There's a few there I didn't know had been cancelled! Crying or Very sad How many have you lost?

Mine:

Cromartie High School
3x3 Eyes
Satsumna Gishiden
What's Michael (though I hear there might be a re-release)
Apocalypse Zero
Baron Gong Battle
Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga
Grey
Heartbroken Angels
Urusei Yatsura

I would have gone for Legend of Mother Sarah as well if I ever had the chance. They will be missed... Crying or Very sad

Most notably for me has been the loss of Shadow Star Narutaru, especially since the release stopped at nearly exactly the same point as the anime got up to. Yes, it was edited and flipped but I would still appreciate it continuing and see where it ultimately got up to. The real loss is that, as far as I can tell, it is no longer available in Japanese either so I haven't even got that option.

Another one that is lost, although Tokyopop did mention that they may re-release it, is Sailor Moon. I managed to get the complete series of that way before it went out of print but an unflipped and better translation wouldn't be a bad thing as far as I am concerned.

At least Sailor Moon was completed before going out of print. Kodocha's out there as well but it's been missing for a good long while.

It must be said that Dark Horse really do seem to cancel titles that are missed most by its fans. The biggest worries at the moment seem to be aimed at Eden and Berserk if animeondvd's anything to go by...

50 Rules for Teenagers is the only title there I read...as all of IceKunion's catalogue was picked up (which I was very grateful for).

I feel sorry for everybody who was partway through a series when it stopped though!

That's what I'm beginning to think is going to happen to me with some of my series what with all the cutbacks at the moment.

I hate to be narky, but don't just post a link, it's really lazy, it could take us anywhere, espetially as it's news.

Good news for some but it doesn't help me.

Never Give Up is still on hiatus and that's a Tokyopop title.

Still thanks for the update. If some of the other publishers are taking titles of hiatus, then maybe there is hope yet!

Didn't Yotsuba& get picked up by Yen-press or something for the final few volumes?

Yeah, but a year ago it was still in limbo. Razz

Got the first two volume and read them a while ago. It's cute I guess and readable enough but don't really 'get' the hype that's been around it. Azumanga's much better imo but might continue when the re-releases come out anyway...
