Excellent find! I'm sensing a UK-only sub DVD from Optimum! |

No buy from me then....
Im fine with Only Yesterday being sub only, but a big name release like this = no sale.
And please, no "But Ghibils better in SUBS1111!!!" stuff, thank you. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

As lots of people expected, this is getting a sub-only release over here way ahead of the US where the Earthsea film property is currently held by Sci-fi for a while. Nice to see a confirmation of this coming here.
Another one-up for the UK .

I suspect you will be waiting for a while. Sci-fi's licence doesn't run out for a good while (about 2009 if I remember rightly) and there is unlikely to be an English dub until then. |

I thought you knew me better than that.
Basically, there's no way it'll be dubbed until it's done in the US, which isn't happening for a few years yet. We might as well take it while we can and then buy the inevitable re-release once the dub's been done!
It's better than never watching it at all. Ever. |

It was only subbed? Didn't notice as I always watch subbed as Ghibli's are always better that way
Anyway I'll be preordering, as and when it becomes available, what presumably will be 15 in the Optimum series. |

Yes. Disney refused/elected not to dub Only Yesterday so it remains unreleased in the US. |
