What it says in the subject line Very Happy , any errors and omissions spotted in the news, or reviews or any part of EoA apart from the forum. Broken links can go in their own thread, but it's rare they don't get spotted.

Remember though we're not infalable and honest mistakes will happen, be them typo's or innocently typed miss-information, we're fans foremost and not professionals at this.

A few quotes from previous (now trimmed) threads

I must point out that while I was "editor" in all capacities as of the past few months I've demoted myself.

Quote:
About Us - DamianI’m supposed to be the editor but as of lately I’ve kind of demoted myself to chief reviewer, I also did all the graphics / drawing of Ai Chan. I got these roles, as I’m one of the co-founders of eyeonanime - why this site got started in the first place? I’ve forgotten.

I guess in one way that's shirking responsibility but I have a hard enough time keeping track of my reviews for errors. *sweatdrop*

Maybe spellcheckers are to blame, maybe we've become too dependant on them? who knows? WHO KNOWS?!!!!
Plus the english language is crazy like murdock, e.g. some words that use "ise" or "ize" are both correct but depend on which dictionary you use, Oxford or Cambridge, plus I just make words up in my reviews so Im adding to this madness!!! I must be stopped! no matter the cost!!!! MU HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!

words like rolls and roles spell checkers wont pick up, and often neither do grammer checkers, to be honest I read my reviews to myself out loud before I post them.

Thing is that doesn't always work either as they proved in studies.

if seomnoe sarcbelms the letrtes in the mdidle of a wrod but
lvaees the srtat and fsinih itanct you can sillt raed it.

your brain automatically unscrambles it.

Also everyone should be able to tell by the ammount of typos in my forum posts that like Ian my fingers are ahead of my brain too. I'm also guilty of made up words.

Well, you asked for it. The last three reviews and the typos I spotted...

Samurai Gun

Quote:
"Lamenting his position in life, Ichimatsu working out of a tavern with Daimon, a typical ladies man type always trying to play the smoothly and welching on his ever increasing bar tab, they work as “Samuria Gun’s”, hired guns (literally) who do the work of the government when someone else needs killing on the sly. "

Samurai

Quote:
"Ichimatsu is also reluctant to play this roll in life, having grown tired of death and killing, however when he does go on a mission he invariably ends up killing as rather adept at the task."

play this role

Quote:
"For the second episode the mission is supposed to be information gathering on the experimental railroad they are given an awful lot of ammo fro the task and Kurenai, a female Samurai Gun joins them on this task."

ammo for the task

Quote:
"So really, yep it’s playing out like your usual Samurai show, but as you can guess from the titles, instead of swords these guys are armed with firearms, it’s central crux really. Ranging from revolvers / six shooters, to the acclaimed repeaters, later as the stakes are raised by the Shugun group, Tommy guns and even an Uzi make appearances. Giving these guys firearms lends the show to feel slightly like a ninja show rather than typical samurai as they often shoot from the shadows, lacking much of the honour that comes with the mantel “Samurai”."

Shogun group

mantle

Streetfighter

Quote:
"Disc One – English 5.1, English 2.0
The voice acting is done well and my favourite has to be M Bison who was played by Phil Matthews, he gave his character a sense of evil genius. Mercifully this dub isn’t too swear-laden and the characters all say their moves when performing them, just like in the game. Also another plus is the soundtrack which was probably thanks to Sony’s input to the movie, lot’s of decent heavy-metal (Alice in Chains, Korn, Silverchair and KMFDM to name a few) mixed with some chilled out electronic beats for the slower parts."

Unnecessary apostrophe in "lot's"

Quote:
"there are trailers for Tetsujin 28 LIve action, Ghost in the shell, X, perfect Blue, Ninja Scroll and"

Capital P in Perfect

Quote:
"to make matters worse they’ve started to recruit the worlds greatest fighters to assassinate politicians who have openly opposed them. Some fighters have joined by choice... Some not. Chun-Li is assigned to work with Captain Guile both of whom are out to get revenge on Shadowlaws Leader; Bison"

need an apostrophe in "world's" and "Shadowlaw's"

Quote:
" las Vegas "

Need a Capital L

Ah My Goddess

Quote:
"Apparently following the manage more faithfully, I say apparently as I’ve forgotten most of the manga’s earlier stories, so you’ll have to take my word for it. "

following the manga

Quote:
" not Believing the exchange student act, and being instantly jealous of Keiichi and/or Belldandy, she puts the romantic moves on Keiichi in order to de-thrown Belldandy. The old logic of the guy must be worth it once he’s taken as Sayoko once completely blew Keiichi off."

no need for capital in Believing

dethrone

Quote:
"he spends the first half of the episode internalising trying to figure out what "

internally?

I should have used a red biro!

Didn't ask for it at all

I'm not sure if I should be annoyed or not. Evil or Very Mad

picking out every single one is a bit much.

You'll find capitals or lack of in an awful lot of reviews, espetially the ealier ones. Yes this is what this thread is for it's also to stop site feeback getting cluttered so it can handle more relevent things like new features and what not. And proper errors, not every spelling grammer error.

Oh and internalising is a real word.

Shocked

I *didn't* pick them all out!

I just went for the obvious typos, spelling mistakes and what not.

Ok, grocers' apostrophes bug me. So they're what I always look for when I'm spellchecking my own work.

I didn't even think about correcting grammar, as one person's grammar mistake can be another's emphasis.

But that final internalising/internally caught me out, as my brain didn't get round the sentence the first time I read it. Now I had a chance to reread it, I can see what you're
trying to say. Sorry.

[Sheepish] Now that I'm re-reading them, I'm seeing some more. But I'll keep my mouth shut [/Sheepish]

Lol, I read through oneof mine that's on the site this morning and I'm like 'that's not even a sentence!'. Missing words and random garbage all over some of them. *must try harder - slaps self*

I could write up my mistakes, but would rather hide in shame. If no one notices them then there's no problem, but if people think improvements are needed then that's fine as well. Either people don't mind or they just read it thinking I'm an imbecile! Laughing

That's got to be quote for the day, I like that.

Corrected a few of them, thing is pretty much every one of them doesn't show up in word, I.E red line under it, and "manage" I swear is a MS:word' auto-correct for "manga" Mad

I'm suprised you didn't pick on this incoherant piece of babble.

This time Chris is kicking off a new series for us, he’s look at volume 1 of MVM’s Saiyuki Reload, that’s seven volume one’s covered in the past month for those keeping track – that’s a lot of new anime already fro 2007 and there’s more to come.
In the meantime I’ve slipped in another volume of Revelation’s release of Fullmetal Alchemsit with a look at Volume 8.

he's looked at Volume 1?

already for 2007

Fullmetal Alchemist.

Someone else can have a look at the reviews Embarassed

On the Saiyuki Reload review:
Quote:
Luckily, I had flicked through a couple random volumes of the manga, so I can get the basic idea that this series is about a group of four guys who go around fighting demons and such. While this is pretty much the general gist of this newer series, it soon became apparent that. The first episode serves to re-introduce and refresh about Genjo and his motley crew.

Whoops, that was a really bad one! Laughing Could someone just delete that sentence please?

What I've put in bold isn't a compete sentence. It should be more like:

'While this is pretty much the general gist of this newer series, it soon became apparent that... Genjo likes to slap demons' or something like that. The sentence justs stops and I forgot to fill the gap when I was drafting. No idea how to finish that sentence now and would prefer it if you could take it out if poss... Embarassed
