The Works had some fairly cool MVM boxes a year or so ago, and today I was tipped off on the Neo forums of another box.

The second I read it I called them and they held it for me. You get the whole series (5 DVDs) for £12 which is a damn good deal!

Bit of a shame I already had volumes 1-4, but couldn't find 5 anywhere. Getting the whole set is cheaper than buying 1 volume at the original RRP so I don't feel as though I've lost out too much.

I recommend everyone taking a look at this show as it's pretty cool. (sub-only mind, and very Japanese)

It's not on the website, but I popped down the Lewisham branch and picked up a set!

I've always wondered what happened next since I caught the Region 1 Volume 1 years ago.

Now I got five shiny discs to fill me in.

Incidentally, unlike those MVM boxsets, these discs retain the original Artsmagic packaging and disc labelling.

Also Volume 5 is on sale for £15.99 at HMV online.

Wow, turns out that the Region 2 has a better transfer than the Region 1. I watched some episodes of V1 last night, and it is dramatically better in terms of compression artefacts, and sound balance.

A little concerned about V5 though, as out of the five discs, it is the sole single layer disc, and some of the menu screens looked pixellated. I'll watch the episodes at the end though.

When I look back, this really should have gone into the retail forum!

Anyway, was in the Works today and they've got Yu-Gi-Oh - The Movie for £3 (also in a 2 for £5 offer). Not to everyone's taste I guess, but I won't pass up cheap anime ever so I bought it anyway... Razz

Yu-Gi-Oh - The Movie is alright actually. Im not a real big fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime (manga better) but the movie just clicked with me Smile

Worth a shot at £3 anyway.
