You probably already know about this, but Tokyopop will start releasing web-exclusive titles meaning that the only way to get them it to order them direct from America:

I find this to be pretty damn annoying as I'm up to vol 5 of Arm of Kannon only to find out that it's now going to be quite difficult to get ahold of. Not started Dragon Head but it was starting taking my fancy... not anymore!
How are you intending to get around this?
Do you think it will affect Tokyopop UK, or will they run their own prints or something? |

what the bloody hell is the point in that, I can understand it with vol#1's so that it is a complete web-exclusive sereis, but why take a sereis mid run and go you can't have it now unless you buy through us.
I was also thinking of dragon head and I know two others who import it read it already.
That's just counter productive. Nice one Tokyopop.

| I think the point of this is that the series they are making web-exclusives are either not selling particularly well or are difficult to find shelf-space for for one reason or another (hentai manga or manga with graphic imagery, in particular is often difficult to find shelf-space for in America, which probably explains Arm of Kanon). This is probably an example of Tokyopop's "print-on-demand" idea that they said they were going to implement. |

Web exclusive for how long exactly? I'm enjoying Dragonhead a lot at the moment. While I love to read it, if there is a delay because of this online stuff, I can always find something else to read til it turns up again.
It seems the U.S get a lot of these exclusivity bits but there's nothing I can do about it. Plenty of other manga out there to buy. _________________ Seek joy in life, cause less strife and hopefully you'll find a pretty wife. LOL! |

I think these titles will get a limited print to sell only online and never actually reach the shops ever. That will be it. No more! (dammit!) |

These titles are "print-on-demand" if I am not mistaken. They are, I presume, niche titles that only sell a very limited quantity and so only enough to cover orders are printed. They will, as Toraman said, never appear in stores. |
