|
|
They've been a bit quiet lately, but Gollancz are still going ahead with their manga series. The fact that they've listed 2 new series on their website shows that they don't intend to stop any time soon! All these titles are listed for 26th March (which gives me time to catch up on Maison Ikkoku and Kenshin!):
Dragonball Z 1
Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden 1
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 7
Maison Ikkoku 12
Case Closed 13
Flame of Recca 6
One Piece 6
Rurouni Kenshin 12 |

More Gollancz date as they've listed right up to June on their site:
30/04/2007
Case Closed 14
Flame of Recca 7
Maison Ikkoku 13
One Piece 7
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist 8
21/05/2007
Dragonball Z 2
Genbu Kaiden 2
One Piece 8
Rurouni Kenshin 13
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 9
25/06/2007
Case Closed 15
Flame of Recca 8
Maison Ikkoku 14
One Piece 9
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 10
They seem to intend to publish 5 titles a month which, if they stick to it, is quite a lot! |

Slipped under my radar as it's not manga, but might interest some:

Will be getting that for sure, nice to see them branching into translated novels. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Is that a second novel, since the novel was released a year/year-and-half back (I have it but haven't gotten around to reading it yet). |

Yep. This release is the UK release of the original novel.
US imports are readily available in mainstream UK bookshops, so it was widely available anyway. Despite it making little odds to us (more so to Orion books!), at least it's officially available here now. |

Has anyone seen any of these? amaozn.co.uk still have Case Closed vol 13 list as "preorder", with a release date of March 26th.
I mean WTF is up there! _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Not seen any of these yet. Gollancz seemed to rush out the rest of Fushigi Yugi and then stopped totally. But then if they had why do they keep updating their site?
I wish they'd get on with it as I'm a big fan of Case Closed, Maison Ikkoku and Rurouni Kenshin. |

Thing is i saw the Battle Royale novel in Waterstones today (The UK printing i mean - didnt pick it up since i got some manga) so they are still releasing things.

I might email them to find out whats going on. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Found in Neo 33 which came today:
| Quote: | | Gollancz gave releasing Viz series a pop, but reportedly due to mass overprinting of its acquired titles, had to throw in the towel. |
Looks like Simon & Scchuster will be picking up the pieces.
