Turning to the irrestable darkside of anime what have you been watching that been gained through illicite means. C-om we've probably all done it, downloaded a fansub.

A good indication of your DVD buying habits 12-18 months from now or testing a show you want to buy or downloadign that rare stuff that will never get picked up.

Currently episode 1's of

Bokurano
pretty good grim Mecha show though the character designs put me off.

Lucky Star
Somebody saying it's Azumanga but with Otaku got me hooked + the opening is infectious

Claymore
haven't watched yet.

Forgot to add
El Cazador
Again haven'twatched yet.

* yep I've been flexing my upgraded interent connection's download speeds.

You caught me red handed, right when the new season starts. I suspect that when these are licenced my wallet will cry. (If I watch more than 2 episodes of a fansubbed anime, I commit myself to buying it when it's released)

Right now I'm watching:

El Cazador de la Bruja
Looks to be Noir/Madlax, but with lighter moments. Can't wait for ADV to licence it and give it the third "sock puppet theatre" extra.

Kami-chama Karin
Not too sure if I'm gonna stick with this one. Magical Girls, Magical Boys, "I AM GOD!". Sums this up.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
Ever since I saw the first series of Nanoha, I have been in love with it, and now we have the continuation of her tale.

Romeo X Juliet
This might qualify for this years "like it so I'll stop watching it" award, where I wait for an english language release. It's not as if I don't already know the story... Boy meets girl, boy saves girl on pegasus, girl rises up against the oppresive family of boy...

Hayate the Combat Butler
The hidden gem for me this year, looks very funny and wins the "strangest name" award.

Lucky Star
C'mon. Me watching this was obvious, and it is awesome. People have been complaining about it boring them. They just don't know good comic timing when they see it.

Naruto Shippuuden episodes 1 - 7

Tends to drag on a few eps but part from that it is quite good and I am sticking with it.

That's an interesting logic, I like that, I probaly do something simalar, though I'll admit I do like blind buying some series, Like Haruhi, downloaded all of it but never got round to watching it. So will now just buy it.

Apartently the "trilogy" thing comes in becasue after making madlax the creator jokingly said that Noir/Madlax were part of a trilogy, and everybody took it as sereious, so they've had to make this new one.

I do that a lot too, just look at my comments about Romeo X Juliet. Karin was another one like this, where I know enough that I'm not going to lose my money into a lemon-series, but I can still look forward to a story which I don't know.

Went through a few Newtype USAs last night looking for series I'd forgotten the name of.

Just watched Hidamari Sketch ep#1.
I have to check out any show where the main genre is "Slice of life", it's another one like Lucky Star, whimsicle comedy type, maybe a little too cute though for its laid back attitude. We'll see...

Ikki tousen - Dragon quest - basically season 2 Smile
I was a bit weary after revieiwng the first one but one of my mates wont shut up about it so I got me a bit torrent thingy and downloaded it.
It looks as if theyre focusing more on the fighting and bringing more of tha characters from the manga in. so maybe season 2 will save the franchise? who knows?

I've now discovered Manabi Straight, which I'm probably enjoying far more than I should. It's taken over from Lucky Star and Hidamri Sketch as my slice of life show.

Samples the first 1 &1/2 episodes of Idolm@ster, didn't like it, starts off with an intersting concept then all this internal fighting starts between two different sides, and why oh why does every mech that ever gets built / found / piloted have to have a personality of it's own....

Also watched Bakurano ep2 and 3, and doubt I'll be continuing with that either, teh concept behind the show is brilliant but the execution is rubbish, don't like the moody cast.

*triple post* guess I'm still with the guilty pleasure of DA FANSU3Z 0H THE NOZ!!

Watching Claymore at the moment with eps 5-7 over the past few days, It's getting really good and gone into backstory about the birth of Clare as as a Claymore. So yeah this needs to be licensed so I can watch it in all it's DVD goodness.
