Lol I don't mind the dub and it does a farily respectable job with the songs. It being out of sync doesn't help at all though.
Watched the first episode of Yukikaze last night. It's very shiney and looks great, but god they're a miserable bunch - cheer up! I got used to it though and it's not too shabby. Just as well as I've the rest of the box to get through. |

Watched Pom Poko today. Well...I say "watched"...here's the gist:
Sat down to watch Pom Poko. Started to enjoy Pom Poko. Slowly began to get bored with Pom Poko. Pom Poko picked up again by the festival bit. Got completely bored with Pom Poko. Switched off Pom Poko and decided never to speak of the shape-shifting-testicles again. |

Im one of those odd people who likes the BGC dub.
Anyway - i saw Speed Grapher volume 2 today. It much the same as the first in terms of content, and it was a pretty good watch. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

I love their shape-shifting-testicles!
(the way they grab them and stretch them over the heads freaks me out a bit though)
I quite like the film, but I'll admit it's a bit heavy with the eco preaching. Did you watch it dubbed or subbed? They way they try to fit English into traditional Japanese songs is a bit odd. It's very impressive that they almost pulled it off... almost, mind. |

ROFL, that has to be THE quote of the day.
I liked Pom Poko one of my favorite Ghibli films along with Whisper of the Heart (note - both not Miyazaki films) _________________ ...

My fave is My Neighbors the Yamadas
Such an odd little film, tottally unlike anything else Ghibli have done.
Have a soft spot for The Cat Returns too. _________________ Avatar: Misa Amane from Death Note

Well I started watching it dubbed but some moron outside decided to choose that moment to cut his lawn and I couldn't hear a thing, so on came the subtitles!
I'm a bit disappointed in it really as I love Grave of the Fireflies. Slightly different genre I suppose In terms of Ghibli films I have a soft spot for Nausicaa and Spirited Away - and The Cat Returns dub is actually hilarious The good kind of hilarious too! |

Watched the first two episodes of Trinity Blood last night, will finish off the disc tonight.
Vampires and sci-fi, who'd've figured. Tinges of Trigun to it as well. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

Watched the second volume of Haibane Renmei today.
I'm absolutely adoring this show. It has such a humble nature with a very deep undercurrent of mystery. It's clear the author knows absolutely everything! Can't wait to find out what happens next! |

Finished watching FMA: V2 last night, again.
Wow!
It must be the fourth time I've seen it, and the one-two punch of Night Of The Chimera's Cry and The Philosopher's Stone got me again.
NOTCC is like a kick in the gut, and TPS always leaves me misty eyed watching what Ed goes through trying to deal. _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."
