I'd like to see them replace Escaflowne with Gundam and Planetes with Witch Hunter Robin or either with Bebop would be good.

Overall though I'd like to see some earlier shows on Anime Central instead of starting at 9pm maybe start at 4pm or 5pm with shows like One Piece, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Shinzo, Angelic Layer or anything else that could be shown during the day to help build a younger fanbase as well as increase its exposure time.

Either way Anime Central has been a great breath of fresh air in a dusty boring T.V schedule Smile

Well, anime central has confirmed that when the current run of GitS:SAC, Escaflowne, and Planetes finish, they will be replaced with Bleach, GitS:SAC and Escaflowne, respectivly.

OR to put it another way, they're shuffling the time slots, and going for a repeat of each series. After that they say they'll put on the next series, I guess they were getting too many people saying, "I didn't know about it until episode 10...", so they're doing them a favour and repeating everything once.

New timetable from when things change around (sometime next week, I think)

21.00 - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
    21.30 - Planetes
    22.00 - Fullmetal Alchemist
    22.30 - Bleach
    23.00 - Vision of Escaflowne
    23.30 - Transformers Headmasters

rinse, repeat, and repeat again until 6am.

Honestly anime fan don't know how good they have it, time were their were only 4 channels and if you missed the start of somthing it was tough.

Time was we used to have to sit on the roof during a snow storm cluching the areal just so those lucky enough to be next to the telly could watch it, in black and white no less. Razz

Seriously though, If AC is repeating becuase of feedback from those that missed the start that's pretty good, but yeah, mixed blessing, on the flip side out of all the licenses for titles on DVD in the UK we have no idea how many have TV rights to go with them.

As I understand it Anime Central time-shares with Pop Girl so does not have the ability to start prior to 9PM at the moment since that is when Pop Girl finishes. Pop Girl is, according to what I have heard, showing Mew Mew Power, which is the anglicized version of Tokyo Mew Mew so it is half-way there regardless... (I don't have Sky myself so I don't know for sure so correct me if I am wrong.)
