Nice pictures IanC!

I just got back...and it was awesome! *dances wildly*

I bought far too much (I now have loads of random anime to watch) and also spent £80 on boots, but that wasn't at the expo.

I met some really nice people, saw some amazingly-dressed cosplayers and have decided I am going to Amecon, hell or high water.

Hope everybody had as fantastic a weekend as I did!

Ended up coming both days, so there's a sign it was good, never been on a sunday before it was a bit of an impromtu trip and did most of my shopping on the sunday too, spend around £150ish over the weekend.

Awsome time, guests were awsome too, didn't take many pictures and out of the ones I did most were of the guests. There was a cospalyer on sunday dressed as Amatarasu from Okami (PS2) who looked awsome.

I'll get my piccys up when I'm back home and not down here in london.

Amecon is awsome in a completely different way to the expo but is still so worth it.

There will be a few of us going to Amecon next year..

Ooh! Exciting!

Any idea when you have to start getting tickets?

My friend and I want to cosplay, so we're going to see about costumes now (she works with fabric a lot, and we got inspired by the Expo)

I am turning out to have a desperately sad life : Very Happy Cool

Amecon is a case of keeping an eye on the webiste and sites like eyeonanime, they usually send us a press release. with 1300+ places it doesn't sell out in a matter of weeks, but booking well in advance is better rather than leaving it late as their isn't as many on-site accomadation places as their is con places. I think about 800 on site places.

Id love to go Amecon, but if its the same time as it was this year (second weekend in August) it will be a tight squeeze.

Those pictures are good too!

Next year I am definitely bringing a camera so I can take some pictures. There were some really good FMA and Final Fantasty cosplayers yesterday when I went.

Wow, you can get accommodation on site?! That'd be great...

I'll definitely keep an eye out! Thanks for the advice.

And argh this it is hard to type whilst wearing gloves... Sad
