Viz have picked up one of the most read mana of all time - Takehiko Inoue's Slam dunk which debuts in the Decemeber issue of Shonen Jump!

I've been wanting to read this for aaaaaaages so I'm super excited! I thought it might never come out because it's a little old now, but I guess there's still some hope for some of the other older stuff I'd like to see!

I was tempted to get this first time round before Raijin died. I'm looking to get into a sports manga at some point so this could be the one!

Yeah, in a way I'm so glad I missed Pulp and Raijin. I'd have been crushed when they both went under. I'd really like to catch on to a manga anthology that isn't Shojo beat or Shonen jump. (I already buy the books from the series in there I like.)

I heard about an underground anthol magazine called "Faust" that's supposedly being translated. Fingers crossed.

Pulp was great as it was Viz experimenting far more than they do now. (they still do some good unusual stuff though)

Raijin's range wasn't quite as amazing, but Grappler Baki, Slam Dunk and Fist of the Blue Sky caught my attention... never got enough time to buy anything though. Crying or Very sad (got some Fist of the North Star volumes from the Viz release)

It's weird, Slam Dunk DVD release died as well... maybe it's cursed! Laughing

Heheh, yeah. But if anyone can force something to sell, it's Viz!
