That brought a lump to my throat...

Might be better to say what anime the spoiler is from outside of the censored area so people know ahead of time whether they should avoid it or not. Wink (that is a cool bit from Akira though)

I have to add Chrono Crusade

That got me pretty good too, but I didn't really want to say anything as I knew you were watching it, very emotive ending.

I have to say that I haven't flat out enjoyed a series as much as Chrono Crusade since I watched Noir.

That's not to say it's the best series I've seen since then but for enjoyment and moreishness it was exceptional.

Maybe down to me normally watching 'heavier' series but whatever the reason I'm glad I watched it.

Recommended Very Happy

Add Scrapped Princess Crying or Very sad bringing tears to my eyes both in the final episode and in episode 22.

Episode 22 was really touching as it's the scene where Pacifica finally breaks down in tears over what's happening to her and her friends.

Hmm....loads. I'm a complete crybaby.

Fruits Basket - last couple of episodes and the one with the back story of Hatori.

FMA - haven't finished it but so far episode 7 and maybe some others...

Pretear - possibly at the end. I watched this sooo long ago that whether I did or not has become blurred.

Rumbling Hearts - and I'm only on episode 5. Only teared up though.

Non-released shows are Full Moon wo Sagashite, Fushigi Yuugi and probably pretty much any other shojo story. I'm a sucker for traumatised magical girls and the like

Very Happy

I wish they'd continued the Fruits Basket anime...the ending was such a let-down in some ways.

Lol, I know the fight you mean! That was a really good part. (they cheapened it afterwards though imo)

I've never cried at any movie of any kind (maybe Im just heartless) but some anime that have made me feel sad are:

Grave of the Fireflies - Just the ongoing torture the kids face I felt too sorry for the little mites

Cowboy Bebop - Last episode always, always gets me. Even when I watched it last night for the tenth time it still depressed me but that is why I love Cowboy Bebop and will always be one of my personal greats.

Full Metal Alchemist - "Night of the Chimera's Cry" episode

Naruto - "The Demon in the Snow" episode.
Probably the closest Ive ever been to having tears in my eyes as everything was perfect in "that" scene both the music, the dialogue and the setting. I would be more specific but I dont know how to hide the text Embarassed

There may be some others but I cant think of any more right now.

Also manly tears are made from beer, red meat, porn and football, not like normal tears that are made of water Very Happy

Nah, it was actually quite moving in a genuine sense as it's not coming from a character you'd expect it to. This is coming from someone who wasn't upset by the ending of Gunslinger Girl.
