I have a suspicion that FMP TSR will go to MVM given FUNimation's coup on that particular title.

No no, it HAS to go to ADV. Id still buy it if it went to MVM, but id prefer it to go to ADV

What do you think the odds are for MVM announcing Yawara? That would be something else! Laughing

Nah, no dub would make it a hard sale.

Jerome did mention they had something a bit violent and "inkeeping" with soem of their older titles.

They made a new Fist of the North Star movie a little while ago didn't they? That would be sweet!

There's some nice Geneon titles they could go for like Demon Lord Dante, New Getter Robo and 3X3 Eyes. Looking forward to the possibility of getting some of the stronger stuff! Twisted Evil

(they probably do mean Blood+ when they say they've got a more violent title though... meh, I doubt it's that gory)

*makes puppy eyes at MVM* Please get Yawara! (you're right though. Sub-only is a no-no in the UKa lthough a few do slip through from time to time like Urusei Yatsura and the Gundam Movies)

See i like the sound of the show, but i dont like the fact its sub only... I really dont get why people like AnimEGO so much, they say they release stuff for the fans but fans like dubs too......

Anyway this is really off topic.

I wonder who has the dvd rights to OBAN Star Racers?

Meh, off-topic is good!

I think people like Animeigo because they've been around forever and a day through thick and thin (they started in the early 90s I think, maybe even the late 80s!). They started off small aaaages ago when anime was extremely hard to come by and fans were grateful for anything they could get. Even now they've kept small, so fans feel special and hardcore when they buy their stuff. They also release minority interest stuff which you would hardly expect to sell well but they release it anyway.

We had a company called Anime Projects back in the day which used to release most of their stuff over here (they even got up to Urusei Yatsura TV volume 8!), but they died quite a while ago now due to lack of interest in during tits 'n' tentacles boom. MVM took up a lot of their titles so I guess they're the spiritual successor in this country...

History lesson: End. (sorry, I got carried away!)

I also suspect MVM will announce Kamichu! or GunXSword, as well as Ah! My Goddess TV.

I'm now 99% certain that GunXSword is going to be announced at London Expo. Was told this morning that Madman are doing a R4 release, "so MVM might do an R2E release as well". This comes from a very trustworthy source.

Also looks like Madman have Ah! My Goddess TV, so looks good in that corner too. No sign of Kamichu.

Kind of off-topic but might be related to Expo announcements...

Got the new Neo magazine today and had a look at the incoming section. It's really strange to look at as it's pretty much a list of old licences which never saw the light of day.

There's Cyber City, Wild Arms, Blue Seed, Goemon and a whole bunch of other old stuff. (they've got a misspelled 'Kashern' on there as well even though it's been out for a long time already!) At least Kodocha's there so hopefully MVM still intend to release that.

I think that this is just a filler list which is being used until the next bunch of titles is annouced at the Expo. It is interesting that they're still floating about though.

Street Fighter 2 will be getting rereleased (i persume it will be like the recent uncut us release), a Production IG boxset(?), Tokko, Noein and Tactics.

Yeah I hadn't read that bit yet! Found it now, lol!

Tokko looks like it could be my kind of thing. I'm guessing the Production I.G. Box will be Blood, Kaidoumaru and Dead Leaves. It says 20th anniversary which implies older stuff, but I doubt they'd do that really. Undecided on Tactics and Noein, but a proper version of Street Fighter would be cool!

Seems kinda weird Neo didn't give much attention these announcements.

Nice. Smile

Oh, I saw the first volume of Basilisk round a mate's the other day and I REALLY want MVM to pick that up. Reckon the odds are good as well as that kind of thing seems to do well over here.

Plus it's a FUNi title which makes the odds all the more better, I've got the gorgeous artbox from the states so am already picking it up, (vol2 current in shipping) but yeah some UK lovin wouldn't go amiss.

Trinity Blood
Speed Grapher would also be nice also
Negima I couldn't care less about.
