Beez Entertainment is pleased to announce the acquisition of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for UK distribution.
I thought that when I entered high school, my days of believing in aliens, time travelers and ESPers were going to be over. That is until she introduced herself. Claiming to be interested in only aliens, time travelers, and ESPers, Haruhi Suzumiya was the strangest girl I’ve met in a long time…
Before I knew what’s going on, I’ve been dragged into her weird club, and it looks like I’m not the only one who has been drafted into this ‘SOS Brigade’ of hers, because there are three other students who don’t seem to be so ordinary themselves.
Either way we’ve all found ourselves caught up in Haruhi’s quest to search for all things extraordinary. And what’s this I hear about us making a movie??
Aware of the importance of this series to UK fans, we are also proud to announce we will be using the Madman Entertainment masters, bringing you the highest video quality possible. But wait, that's not all!
Dedicated to bringing you a premium release that encourages you to buy from the UK release we are also going to provide you with all the extra goodies you can imagine - just like you saw in the US!
Each volume will have a regular release of £19.99, while the Volume 1 LE will cost an RRP of £39.99 and the other 3 LE's will have an RRP of £34.99. Due for release in consecutive months starting from the dates of London Expo May, right the way through to Amecon in August! Who knows what kind of surprises may lie in wait at those events too?
Start saving today, because the S.O.S. Brigade is invading the UK! |

This sounds very nice indeed - I want!
I know it's only just been announced, but any idea as to how soon we can start placing our orders? |

Put me down for the LE's and for the suprises at the events. I'm glad it was BEEZ who got Haruhi, I knew guys would give it some proper LE treatment, if only for one volume, but hay, ALL
The UK does not get a raw deal on this one. _________________ “Sometimes, death is all you can see. It’s all around you. It consumes you - So you have to look it in the eye, and bare your teeth.”

Great news all around, though I'd have loved some UK exclusive extra stuff.. I'm still going to double dip on the REs though. _________________ UK Anime DVD of the Month Awards

So volumes 2-4 had one extra DVD each with 4/5 sub-only episodes on them?
(Sorry, I didn't follow the R1 release that closely so I don't really know...) |

Yes. The 2 & 3rd volume had 5 eps on the second disc whilst the final volume had 4 eps. |

Personally I'd like to work on more LE's in future though and build up our experience on releasing such works though - so watch this space. |
Only 500? *goes to preorder*
Edit: Hmm... I can't decide between anime-on-line and HMV. HMV's packaging's a bit safer, but their stock is a little less reliable in my experience. Or would it be worth risking the wait and getting it at the Expo? |

You can guarantee we'll have some at Expo - as it's pre-release by a few days and I'll make sure Pinnacle leave some aside for the convention season . Just hurry along if you want one at Expo!
I'll have a press release out about the Haruhi release shortly now everything is 100% finalized and confirmed . |
