Though not really everyone's favourite anime company, it seems as though Animazing (a.k.a. ILC Prime) will be reducing a lot of their anime down to £5.99 on 6th November! Titles include:

Dominion Tank Police 1+2 / 3+4
M.D. Geist
La Blue Girl 1+2 / 3+4
Project A-KO 1 / 2-4 / 5+6

Looks like I can skip getting the Ultimate Anime Box they did a while ago. They may be dub-only, but £5.99 for A-KO is a steal. Quality little action film! Very Happy

Hopefully they are doing this because they are getting out of the business.

Damn! That is probably the coldest thing I've ever heard you say... I love it! Laughing

I doubt they're going out of business to be honest as this is how they treated the Darkness series as well. I'm always up for cheap anime, bring it on! (and before you ask, yes I do have that series hehehe)

The biggest problem with Animazing's releases was that they are just so half-assed. I wouldn't mind if they had at least included the Japanese track on their titles, which would have made them at least a little better than they were.

In these days of multiple soundtracks and subtitle tracks there really isn't much of an excuse for not including Japanese and English as options.

Hell Yeah! They might as well have just brought out VHS. although I get them impression the project A-ko one has a fair few extras on it (judging by the BBFC file on it)

BBFC fees and budget-price releases don't exactly go hand in hand.

It costs a lot to get anime off the ground so they have to work from the bottom up to fund a decent release. World of Narue was good value for what you got, but with a cheap price comes cheap presentation.

I personally think Animazing are only really in it to cash in on a bunch of licences they got on the cheap. Only if their stuff was absurdly popular would they release more stuff. It would be nice if they got more involved though to challenge the prices of MVM, Beez and ADV. Twisted Evil

Little update here. About a week after the prices are reduced of the single editions, the Ultimate anime box which contains all of these shows is reduced by £10.

£19.99 for all of A-KO and 4 more DVDs? It's mine! Source:
