Showing on Play as being in The Studio Ghibli Collection.

Minimal details as yet.

Excellent find! I'm sensing a UK-only sub DVD from Optimum! Very Happy

No buy from me then....

Im fine with Only Yesterday being sub only, but a big name release like this = no sale.

And please, no "But Ghibils better in SUBS1111!!!" stuff, thank you.

As lots of people expected, this is getting a sub-only release over here way ahead of the US where the Earthsea film property is currently held by Sci-fi for a while. Nice to see a confirmation of this coming here.

Another one-up for the UK Smile.

I suspect you will be waiting for a while. Sci-fi's licence doesn't run out for a good while (about 2009 if I remember rightly) and there is unlikely to be an English dub until then.

I thought you knew me better than that. Evil or Very Mad

Basically, there's no way it'll be dubbed until it's done in the US, which isn't happening for a few years yet. We might as well take it while we can and then buy the inevitable re-release once the dub's been done!

It's better than never watching it at all. Ever.

It was only subbed? Didn't notice as I always watch subbed as Ghibli's are always better that way Wink

Anyway I'll be preordering, as and when it becomes available, what presumably will be 15 in the Optimum series.

Yes. Disney refused/elected not to dub Only Yesterday so it remains unreleased in the US.
