New Licenses for 2007!

As many people have commented, a number of fresh new titles have been announced recently for the U.K. by the U.S. office. However, fans here are still asking about titles mentioned or discussed over the last year, so it’s time to clarify a few things.
Firstly, what’s coming out in our ADV Classics Collection:

Dai-Guard Complete Collection
Gad Guard Complete Collection
Ninja Resurrection
Sorcerer Hunters OVA
Hellsing Complete Collection
Cosplay Complex
Shinkai Collection

Secondly, brand new shows making their UK debuts:

Jinki: Extend
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World
Coyote Ragtime
Le Chevalier D’Eon
Paniponi Dash
Guyver: The Bioboosted Armour
Sgt.Frog

As you can see, we’ll be making every effort to bring you the freshest new titles as quickly as possible to the U.K., so keep an eye and ear out for announcements specifying scheduled releases, as well as sneak previews via our ADVocates programme and other sources. Stick with ADV in 2007 – only the latest and the best wears our logo!

Cosplay Complex? I WANT! Another Hellsing Set is unusual. Still no sign of Blue Seed 2 despite Sorceror Hunters getting a go. (they were lisenced at the same time and have both been submitted to the BBFC)

Looks like a good year for ADV next year in all!

You and me both! (Cosplay Complex)
Also interested in Sgt Frog. I would be interested in PaniPoni Dash, but am already being sent the first volume, signed and free of charge, so I'll be importing that one.

Cosplay complex is only three episodes and is too damn short as it's an absolutle blast. Hilarious and very raunchy in places.

here's hoping those boxes aren't sorted in order of release date, seeing how they said one box per month, and I'm pretty sure you are right about Cosplay Complex

(does 3 episodes count as a box?)

The Classic Collection doesnt automatically mean box/brick, by the looks of it.

It could mean a discount ADV label, cut price releases or something like that.

That's looking like a fairly nice lineup there. Wasn't too keen on Gad Guard myself although there was a lot to like about it. I just couldn't really connect with it in any way. It will be interesting to see how Sgt Frog is handled, being such a long series and all. I've read the first volume of the manga and it is quite silly and a bit of fun so I'll be looking forward to watching it.

It is nice to see that they seem to be trying to bring the lead times from US to UK down a little bit. Should help the UK division a fair bit to combat imports with at least one less reason to do so.

Edit -- some of these titles have been entered up onto the Anime Online website, which has MVM's and ADV's provisional catalogue up to March 2007.

Niiiice! Just had a peek and some of it's looking very good indeed. Still £59.99 for a full 6-disc series though, it's an ok price, but not a tempting enough to encourage an impulse buy.

Nice to see Ninja Resurrection at £14.99 RRP, despite it being a horror of a show.

No sign of Cosplay Complex yet, looks likes we'll be waiting until at least April for it. Crying or Very sad

Given that it's a 3 episode OVA, we can see it either getting the £15 RRP of Ninja Resurrection, or if not, the £20 normal price.

From the looks of things, ADV are planning on increasing the monthly count to five releases a month, usually including a collection (but not always, march doesn't)

And since ADV seems to be releasing a lot of stuff i love.... Oi.

Coyote Ragtime has been confirmed as an April release in ADV UK's latest newsletter, with the first episode available to watch on IGN UK for a limited time.
