Noticed these two offers while i was in London today, dont know if they apply to other branches Smile

Blackwell's - 3 for 2 on SELECTED Tokyopo titles. Yes selected. Me a sad panda Sad

Forbidden Planet - 3 for 2 on Gollancz Manga. Any of em! Im going to gather some cash and go crazy, lol.

As an aside, Blackwell's have the Star Trek "manga" exclusive till the end of March (and FP are sold out of Captain America issue 25, but thats notthing to do with manga)

Will be going on a manga hunt tomorrow (can't really afford it, but what the hell!).

Do you remember what titles were in the Tokyopop range at all? I like to try and budget myself a little ahead of time if I can as sometimes I get taken unawares by stuff I see after I've spent and end up getting more than I intended! Crying or Very sad

I can easily recommend Ai Yori Aoshi if you havent read it.

I've read a few volumes of Ai Yori from my local library. Wasn't too bad. Sgt. Frog catches my eye a bit more though as I've turned into a bit of a fan of that one (up to volume 4 so far).

Thanks for the tip! Very Happy

Yeah it is a pretty poor range there. Only volumes 1 and 2 of series so if you've already started a series no chance of getting any further. (no more Sgt. Frog for me this time Sad )

Forbidden Planet had their Gollancz 3 for 2 going which was pretty good, although it took me a while to find a certain volume of Fushigi Yugi which didn't look second-hand. The spines had splits down them - I really wish people wouldn't read them in the store, someone might actually want to buy something in there one day! Damn leechers! Evil or Very Mad (or at least if you're going to read it don't break what isn't yours)

Also along from Blackwells going towards Tottenham Court Road station there's a shop called Bookends which has a range of Gollancz stuff going for £2-3. It's random volumes and the condition of their stuff varies though.

Also popped across the road to Foyles which had Tokyopop stuff 3 for 2 as well. Not the greatest range by any means, but more varied and less typical than what Blackwells had.

Did quite well, but now I'm very poor... Crying or Very sad
