Does anyone else on here get really fustrated when they look on manga's 2 websites? Mad
They dont seem to update them very often and looking at the main one in america that has not been updated for months.

Has anyone ever actually got a reply from Manga when you contact them with a query?

Manga UK's site isn't updated that often, especially their news section. But they do send out e-mails every now and then if you're on their mailing list and their mini sites are updated as and when new titles come out.

If you want other news, then it's probably best to keep an eye on anime news sites (like this one ^_^) which should help you keep up to date. They've got some interesting shows coming out this year. Despite manga being a little inactive (what happened to their forums?) word does get out of what they're up to.

Most corperate website have to be the worst websites I've had the missfortune to have to visit. And yeah, most also never get updated with new information.

That's why fan sites invariably exist. With all that Manga Ent do get upto they can be extremly hard to reach, I think mainly becasue tehy are so busy all the time with real-world promotions like that Sake thing they helped launch.

I have to agree with Damo that most corperate site tend to be crap but I do wonder if its more like they see it as someting that they should have to look cool but not really taking the web to seriously and tend to do things with it as an after thought.

I thing that I don't mind them doing that becaues if the did not we would not be needed.

There never wont be a need for fansites they are a different matter and go along with films and TV series, things that don't NEED a corperate site, but when you visit actually companies like DELL, PC World, Apple.com ecyt they are more intersted in self promotion than they are in actually giving you a site that is easy to access and navigate

DELL a PC compay that's exclusivly online has an awful to navigate website but a DELL fansite that is generally better and more up to date is hardly going to exist.

Of all the anime companies I would probably say that ADV's is the most well maintained. It took BEEZ ages to actually get their site translated into English although it does look pretty nice now and MVM and Manga seem to get updated sporadically when someone remembers it exists or something...

Might as well put it here as it seems suitable. Manga's site for Tokko has just appeared:

Yeah, manga's website is a bit sparse, just a regular news reel thingy would be an improvement I've also had a lot of trouble viewing their newsletters, they just came up as a broken image, Thankfully they've solved that problem (I base this on the fact that the recent newsletter worked) and they did write back to me when I told them about the problem a while back. So yeah, I think its a case of being too busy to get round to maintaining the site.

Hey everybody,

Hope you like where we're at with the ADV UK site as of this week. We're now skinning our homepage with the latest volume 1; we have a mod of the US flash navi next to our modded flash trailer box; the newsfeed/newsletter/search engine strip has been polished, there's a horizontal bar with buttons to properly access all of the site, this now extends throughout the shop; a Partners section shows you the online community we're part of, while the Social Sites gives you access to our YouTube, Bebo and MySpace pages. Finally, the ADVocates subsite is now up, although not completed.

Let me know what you think.

I'm loving the ADV UK website's design, compared to the other UK companies it's by far the most easy to navigate and find what you need without too much hassle.

I like the ADV website too, it's the one I visit the most out of the distributor websites.
