Im sure everyones got one or two manga volumes that have been shrink wrapped (admit it!) so.... when do you take the wrapper off?

The moment you get it out of the shop? Once it gets into your house? Or when your about to start reading it?

It seems im the last, since I still have a couple sitting in my bookcase waiting to be unwrapped as it were.

I unwrap mine as I get home. Not sure why I do it if I'm not about to read it... maybe to make sure the pages aren't balnk or something? Laughing

You left out an option - opening inside the shop before buying. Teh leechers! Evil or Very Mad My local Waterstones even has a little sign up saying 'books that are unsealed must be paid for', not that it seems to make a jot of difference. Laughing

Was in Forbidden Planet last night and it seems that Viz are even sealing some of their their T+ titles as well which is a bit over the top imo. Nana 3 onwards were all sealed with a parental advisory printed on the front for example...

I unwrap mine as soon as I get them home - as most of mine arrive in parcels, it's like taking the package off for me.

I unseal all my DVD's pretty much as soon as I've bought them as well...

I go one further and test all the DVDs to make sure they work even though I won't be watching them.

Actually, I do that too...

I load it up and play the trailers or clean OS or something to make sure the disc works...

I normally unwrap stuff and take the price stickers off on the bus home :3

It's kind of annoying when there's something new wrapped >_O I always wanna take a peek inside to see what it's like.

What does the smiley at the end of that sentence mean? I've been trying to work it out but the only thing I can think of is breasts...

It looks like a cat's grin/face to me, like being the cat that ate the cream.

So are the little bobbly bits whiskers or teeth? I guess I just don't have good visualisation skills!

A cat's mouth is often drawn as a curly "w" shape because of the way it curves up towards its nose on either side of the face. So the 3 represents a cat's mouth.
