Someone on AoD linked Funimation's twitter page ahead of Otakon this weekend, and I spotted an interesting tweet totally unrelated to the US convention. Here's the conversation of tweets...
mattzere wrote: | um, did anyone ever find out if the tsubasa/holic movies are coming out in Europe? thanks muchly ^,^ |
funimation wrote: | I know a person who knows a person who knows the answer to that question....waiting on response. |
funimation wrote: | OK - I received word. Unfortunately, there is not a release date. But if or when released it will be by Revelation Films. |
mattzere wrote: | XD muchly appreciated! Thank you! (and thanks to the person who knows the person, and the person who knows the answer!)XD |
I'm sort of surprised that the licence fell to Revelation and not Manga, given that the licence in America was announced around the same time as the xxxHolic TV series, which Manga have. _________________ signed, 'F' |

If it will be released by Revelation films?
That's a total non-statement if ever I heard one.
May as well just have said, 'if or when released it will be by Tetley.' _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

It's not a non-statement...
"If or when released, it will be by Revelation Films", meaning Revelation have it, but the guy at Funi doesn't know if they will actually release it. _________________ signed, 'F' |

Still, I'll take it with a 'Mnemosyne' pinch of salt...
I'm still waiting on Rev to announce Hell Girl, Beck, Suzuka, School Rumble, before I get excited about any new acquisitions.
On the plus side, they did release both halves of FMA S2 on the same day, so maybe they're making room in the final quarter of the year for something... _________________ "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

I'd buy it.
Also tempted by the Peach Girl set as it's preordering cheaply. Rev seem to only focus on one title at a time which means releases are slow, but at least they are actually coming. _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |

The Fullmetal Alchemist OVA DVD just came out in America. What do you reckon - Manga or Rev for the UK release? _________________ My drawing blog and webcomic. |
