A lot of that, so far as I can tell, seems to come from Japanese folk fairy tales or possibly plain old childrens' stories. It is a wonderful tale, though with a lot of wierd fantastical stuff.

No I'm working through them at the moment.

I still have Grave Of The Fireflies, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko, My Neighbours The Yamadas, and The Cat Returns to go from the Ghibli Collection.

I'm relatively new to Ghibli so have a lot of catching up to do. Not that that's a problem Very Happy

I love this film. Saw it the first time in the cinema a few years ago.

There were a load of kids in the front rows who were loving it and helped make the perfect atmosphere. (I'm not being creepy, it wouldn't have felt the same if it was just a load of cynical adults and anime fans in there) I kind of felt they got the films better than the rest of us, ah to be a child again!
